These people are called communists. They believe a totalitarian government is the only answer.

The only issue is, they want others to be under that totalitarian rule and not them.

They are basically elitists. They shouldn’t be held to the same standards as the serfs. They can handle individual liberties, but others can’t. Once they discover they've also lost their freedoms they take for granted they complain, but then it’s too late.

Personal attack aside, You can typically look at what political affiliation and party narrative to see how they will vote. The one exception is the Chief Justice.

While I am extremely distressed you do not like my accurate acronym — I really do not know how I will recover — I will take your opinion and file it in the bin. Cheers

When people vote for the big government types they think they only the wealthiest Americans will pay for this expansion iof government. They think that
There was no personal attack. Your acronym was silly. Do you even know what gaslighting refers to?

Supreme Court justices aren’t supposed to have a political affiliation. I know you got used to that with RBG and Soto-Mayor, but that’s not the way it should be.

You only like Roberts because he acted as a judicial activist and re-wrote a law which allowed the ACA to be implemented. He should have done what he was constitutionally required to do and send it back to the congress for them to fix it.

The fact you have to point that out to a growing demographic is a bit unsettling. I don’t know how we can recover from such widespread ignorance and misunderstanding of what this country was about.

To your reading comprehension, where did I say I like Roberts or the ACA?

Strange that you say they shouldn’t have a political affiliation seeing that the last several Republican justices all come from the same place with the same backing especially the newly minted least qualified judge.

Actions have consequences. We warned you about the hypocrisy between Garland and Barrett. Whatever happens, it’s on the heads of the repubs now.

    Once again, main reason why Trump celebrated Barrett’s confirmation;

    His tax returns.

if dems have the control they will add seats, why, cause the rules allow it

same as repubs denied Obama a vote in the Senate on an election year, cause the rules allowed it

same as repubs changed the voted required to 50 in the Senate, cause the rules allowed it

if te rules allow it, it will be done now

Yes. It does. It prevents them from doing their duties by removing them from the bench while someone else takes their place. You can spin it anyway that you like. That is the result. And the only Constitutional way to remove a SCOTUS judge without them stepping down voluntarily is through impeachment. If you want to rotate judges, then make an Amendment to the Constitution. Stop trying to circumvent it. That is exactly the reason that this country is becoming so divided. Its not racism. Its not any ism or ist or anything else. It is both sides being unwilling to do things the right way. Instead going about doing things by going around what everyone had agreed to. Trying to find loopholes instead of talking. Trying to force ideology instead of talking. Trying to gain power instead of working together.

And just can it with the partisan platitudes attempting to justify your side while vilifying the other. Its nothing more than garbage. Neither side has clean hands in this so just can it.

Adding judges is quite Constitutional. The opposition to doing that has nothing to do with the Constitutionality of it. It has everything to do with the harm that doing such will cause just because your side happens to be pissed that the other side has been able to appoint more judges that align politically with your opponents. Because that is how people will view it. It will destroy any trust that people have in SCOTUS. Which has always been able to keep their approval higher than any other branch in the government. Usually over 50% (last I looked it was at 58% back in August). You can't say that about any President or Congressman. And that is because it has always been able to keep a neutral position apparent to The People. You add justices to the court just because it happens to hold a conservative majority at the moment and it will destroy the faith that people have in SCOTUS being neutral. It will be viewed as partisan and every single case that comes before it will be guaranteed to be held in suspicion as to whether something is Constitutional or not by a majority of the people instead of a minority amount.

Is that really want you want? Because if The People loose faith in its government then this country WILL fall. Its bad enough now. Adding this to it may very well break the camels back so to speak. So...do you want this enough to destroy this country? You don't need to believe me. You may think I'm just fearmongering. Well, I'm not. History has shown time and again how countries fall. And it invariably happens due to conflicts with in becoming overwhelming. Many are seeing the signs. Most of them have studied history. There are even professors asking the question.

So, one last time. Is that really what you want? Think long and hard on your answer. And be truthful to yourself. And there's no need to respond to me. I won't be reading it. Because this is something for only you.

already have that, republican stole the SC lead of 6-3, that will never stand

the 60 vote rule was to prevent having extreme right or left judges, the right changed that for SC picks

How far are you willing to go in a game of one upmanship? Far enough to destroy a country?

people are pissed cause of the republicans changing the rules to seat far right judges, so the left will do the same thing to seat far left judges

the right doing that has consequences, you can't say ok, now lets play fair, let's just let repubs keep the super majority in the SC, they cheated, but now we should play fair

the funny thing is, the repubs would of controlled the SC for years to come, had they just decided to let the next President pick this SC replacement - they got greedy and now lose the SC completely

The same was rule was for lower court judges also. Did you care when that rule was destroyed? Of course not. Republicans were standing in the way of Obama picks so the Dems had to do something....right? They were just following the rules also. So I ask you again...How far are you willing to go in a game of one upmanship? Far enough to destroy a country?

I see you didn't bother to listen. You are a part of the problem. Hate to use a Yoda line here but... Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Again, How far are you willing to go?

well don't be angry when dems add seats, lol, be happy we do it

if you do get angry, remember, you're then part of the problem

republicans cheated to steal a 6-3 majority in the SC, you can't let people steal the courts and do nothing....

yes, and I said that was wrong too, see, I am consistent - it came back to bite dems - same as the repub change for SC judges will come back to bite them

when dems add seats, then we can just let them keep the lead in the SC and go back to normal, no one should be angry, right....

I won't be angry. But I will be sad as it will be the beginning of the end for Peoples Trust. Without that, this country cannot survive.

Republicans already created the beginning of the end of trust in the sc.. it's too late - it's partisian now, it will be long into the future, changing with each party as they come into power

I do agree.. Trumpism has set this country on a course that it won't survive - how will we get back to a court that is not far right or far left... probably can not happen now ever again - but as long as it doesn't make you angry, then who cares right

maybe someday both sides will get tired of mass swings left and right, but I do not see it in the near future, repubs had a chance to make that happen by letting the next President pick this sc justice, they did not, and yes, that is sad

How did the Republicans cheat out of interest? 3 vacancies came up, they control the Presidency and the Senate so appointed 3 judges?

What a load of hogwash. You just admitted in an earlier post that you were against Dems changing the rule in order to get more of Obama's picks in the lower courts, which is what started this mess, and yet you're still blaming Republicans as the creators? Seems to me that you're being..... disingenuous.
