The SCOTUS should have mandatory retirement ages, or, rotating judges.

The entire idea of the lifetime appointment is to allow the justices to adjudicate without recourse. But the same would be there with mandatory retirement ages, or rotating positions.

I have been on that bandwagon for YEARS. All Federal Judges should have mandatory retirement ages.

It's an idiotic idea like most of Biden's ideas, but it's not difficult to read between the lines here: Biden and the Demokrats will stack the SCOTUS if they get the chance.

So at what age do you think RBG should have retired?

If the a Democrats gain control of the Senate and the presidency, They will create a system of one party control. No one will be happy with that other than the uber elites.

What's his plan to ratify the amendment necessary for this to happen?

Judges and justices can be impeached and removed.

If President wins, which is likely in light of the quid pro joe criminal probe coming out, Trump should give the dems what they want...and pack the court....two more judges just like Amy is what the nation needs

    WRONG!

Well over 70% of Americans currently support same-sex marriages. The same holds true for abortion and DACA. I know it's hard to believe when you get all your info from the right-wing echo chamber, but the GOP has and continues to be the party with the least liked policies. And you wonder why we have protesters in the streets? This habit of right-wingers to bury their heads in the sand is what is driving us to the brink of civil war.

That was well over 12 years ago and if you lived in CA you would know the confusing cast of players behind prop 8 debacle.

Yes. The constitution is worth defending even if a majority oppose it.

And only those on the right have the correct interpretation of the Constitution? Is that what you are honestly peddling here?

Second amendment is clear and my rights have been trampled where I live. Justice has nothing to do with what the majority thinks. I support the constitution and oppose mob rule.

Thats a political remedy. Term limits and mandatory retirement ages should be the norm

It was a direct answer. "Majority" control is not justice.
    I gave you an example.

You said 'without recourse'. Impeachment is the recourse.
    Amend the constitution.

I could support some form of a term limit to a Supreme Court justice.
