Nobody Has Been Charged For The Killing Of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick—Here’s Why

There was no blunt force injury. His skull was not crushed in.

Sicknick, 42, died in the hospital on January 7 from injuries sustained while “physically engaging with protesters,” according to a Capitol Police force statement, but the cause of his injuries—and the perpetrator or perpetrators behind his killing—remain a mystery.



"Two law enforcement officials told the New York Times last month that Sicknick’s injuries were the result of being hit in the head by a fire extinguisher, but a medical examiner has reportedly disputed that account, according to CNN, finding no evidence of blunt force trauma.

Law enforcement officials—who are investigating Sicknick’s death as a homicide—are mulling whether Sicknick fell ill after being exposed to a chemical agent, such as pepper or bear spray.

Few details have been publicly shared about Sicknick’s death, and it’s not clear whether the 13-year veteran officer had a preexisting condition that made him more vulnerable to injury.

The F.B.I. has interviewed “dozens” of people, an official told the New York Times, and investigators have probed photos and videos of Sicknick interacting with rioters, but there’s no clear lead on when exactly Sicknick suffered lethal injury.

The article is from Feb. 3 but I heard this discussed tonight and this still stands with no medical report from the DC police force. And blunt force injury causing death can be determined in about 2 seconds by a medical examiner. It's been over a month. Why are they holding back cause of death?

Maybe cause if he died as a result of a heart attack, or breathing in some gas as they are trying to leak out? But then pepper spray and the more potent pepper spray called bear spray are not toxic to humans. It would have been some rare allergic reaction but I believe all police have to go through a pepper spray and TASE in their training.

Maybe if that is true then that means no one was killed BY any rioters that day.

 

According to Trumpers, he died with insurrection, not from insurrection. Nothing new here, they have the same sorry excuse for covid victims. Is no road too low for them to defend Trump?

The family says the police told them it was a stroke hours afterwards. The police union confirms it. CNN reports there was no blunt force trauma.

It appears certain that Sicknick was not rushed to the hospital directly from the Capitol. Several reports indicate that he returned to his police office. Hours after the siege ended, he texted his brother to say he had been “pepper sprayed twice” but was otherwise “in good shape.” Tucker Carlson notes that, according to the head of the Capitol police union, Sicknick had a stroke. That is consistent with a report from KHOU in Houston regarding what the Sicknick family was told about how the officer died."

I realize that you and the RW media are working hard on this revisionist history. Unfortunately, it works on those who are addicted to RW media 24/7. Luckily, the rest of the country, they see Jan 6th for what it was: A violent attempt of insurrection, to overturn a lawful election, resulting in multiple deaths and 150 injured police officers.

 

It seems like the root cause of the confusion here was the media reporting something as fact when it wasn't. Maybe their sources were honestly mistaken, maybe their sources were knowingly misleading, maybe the hacks guessed and made up the sources. I doubt we'll ever find out because the media wouldn't want to reveal how sketchy their industry is.

And, as always happens in this kind of situation, anyone who wanted to believe what was reported ran with it without a thought. In itself, this has absolutely zero impact on the actual facts or the ongoing investigation.

Please note this isn't a partisan political issue, it's a human one.

There is litttle doubt that this mystery will be solved.

The events that caused his trauma and death are well known.

The man who gave the orders didn’t have the stones to show up at his memorial.

As for all of this.

There is no doubt in my mind that Trumpsters are fully aware that the death of Officer Sicknick was either the direct, or indirect result of the deplorable mob that tried to stop our government on Jan 6th.

Of course, they’re not doing what they usually do, pretending that it was all a big party ,and that nothing really bad happened.

But the collective guilt is hard to miss.

No, I think everyone who entered the capital with force should be charged to the fullest extent of the law. Anyone who assaulted officers should 100% and unequivocally be charged and arrested. Those who did damage to the building should be charged with destruction or public property.

That being cleared up, the 3 hour event had the vast majority of the 10's of thousands of protestors, protesting outside of the capital building with NO violence or destruction. It was the imbeciles (just as many on the left as the right) that went against EVERYTHING conservative.

At no time was the White House ever attacked.

At no time was the fence around the White House challenged or breached.

Donald Trump and/or Bill Barr ordered federal forces to attack peaceful protesters on Lafayette Square on June 1st, even though the event was permitted, and the attack was deliberately launched before curfew.

That was the night Trump did his video play to bigotry by strolling through the chaos he created waving an upside down bible.

Just like the way he blustered and told his mob to march on the Capitol, and then skunked away to watch the fun, as the chaos he created played itself out on TV.
