You sure work hard on your rationalizations and making up claims to put in other people’s mouths.

Windmill have nothing to do with the blackouts.

The bigggest drop in generation has come from coal and natural gas, not from wind.

And the ongoing failure by Texas, and Texan utilities to address the shortcomings of the state’s antiquated electrical grid are the reason Texas is in this situation (and has been before).

    T. Boone Pickens said so in 2008.

I even saw trumpists blaming undocumented migrants.

Hmm.. the tens of thousands of non running windmills around texas would beg to differ with you. And you certainly seem willing to work pretty hard to simply assert baseless conclusions absent literally any citation that would support your baseless claims. Roughly 30% of energy production in TX is idle. And the additional strain on NG wasn't able to overcome the drop off. You seem pleased though, in how smug your condescending posts are rolling these days. Its like you enjoy watching others suffer. And yet you still seem eager to wag your false narrative.

No he is saying that wind and solar energy are not reliable. Nice try.

How are you going to force China, India, Pakistan to go green? Biden going to threaten to take them behind the school? Going to challenge them to a push up contest?

How many black and brown people are freezing to death today because of unreliable energy? Racist!!!

Always a problem when one of these liars goes off the grid and tells the truth. Saikat Chakrabarti said that AOC's chief of staff. That's what conservatives and libertarians have been saying for 50 years.

The point is that turbine failure contributed to the blackout.

Are you sure that's true? @Lee Atwater made a thread about this topic with REAL NEWS MSNBC as source with scientist/meteorologist Chris Hayes debunking this windmill thing. So which is it? @Lee Atwater please share your scientific knowledge on this matter and explain HOW this was not the fault of the wind turbines.

Climate change is not a credible threat to power generation. Ill-considered climate mitigation is a threat.

You go wrong in searching for an all-or-nothing answer. Turbine failure was a non-trivial contributor to the blackout, along with other factors.

Actually, the organization responsible for Texas' electrical said that. Keep your facts straight.

A return of the Jimmy Carter gas lines can be expected with the half senile Biden running things.

Also in about a year or so we can expect the return of the Jimmy Carter mortgage loans.

    Funny.
Iowa gets 42% of it's electricity from wind.
But of course it never gets as cold and snowy in Iowa as it does in Texas, so no problem.

Actually, the organization responsible for Texas' electrical said that natural gas was the primary culprit, not wind or solar. Keep your facts straight, and your smug and condescending talking points to yourself.

When it comes to Texas, you really cannot differentiate the two sides of the coin. That state uses a massive amount of electrical power (more than any other state by far) due in no small part to the refinery operations in the state. Anything they do to keep electric rates down helps keep gas prices down. They got caught with their pants down by mother nature. Happened many times before in various ways and will happen many times again. As soon as the dead are buried, it will be business as usual.
