I saw the map of Afghanistan taken over by the Taliban and to my eyes, it is over.
Biden the man who wanted to be our Commander in chief now owns the defeat of a country.

    This is standard for Biden.
    1. Quit on Canada. Stopped their oil pipeline into America after it was totally approved by all agencies.
    2. Quit defending America on our border because he believes not in America, but aliens.
    3. Quit on a country we long ago agreed to stand up so they run themselves and not religious nut cases.
So welcome to Loserville USA Biden. You stand tall with those selling out America.

So, why would Biden pride himself on losing? Give us your thinking.

Simply continuing Trump's policy? Doesn't this make you happy?

The Trump administration agreed to an initial reduction of its force level from 13,000 to 8,600 by July 2020, followed by a full withdrawal by 1 May 2021 if the Taliban kept its commitments.[6] The Biden administration extended the withdrawal deadline to 11 September 2021.[7] On 8 July, Biden shifted the U.S. withdrawal deadline to 31 August.[8] The Department of Defense stated that the U.S. will continue airstrikes on Taliban at least until the withdrawal was officially concluded.[9]

The commitment being that the Taliban will not plot against the US etc.

Can you please explain with links how Biden changed Trump's policy, and also provide evidence that he hates Trump's policy.

    Thanks.

Well, the way Biden reversed everything Trump about the border and fuel is a good indicator.
Neveryoumind how it effects everybody, Trump did it, so undo!.

Yeah, I'm more from the "Let's go with what works and get rid of what doesn't work" type.
Biden nuked it all (or his administration did) total disregard for the consequences to the American people.

There wasn't ary a thought about how all that would effect everyday Americans. No.

Stopped building the border wall that should have been done since 1989? How about that?

1989 is the year a border wall should have been finished. Unfortunately we had a traitor president at that time.

Yeah, That George Bush refused to build the wall that he and Biden agreed on in exchange for Reagan granting 3 million illegals amnesty.
I'm just saying it like it is.

    Bush was a traitor.
I can't prove it like I can Obama, but he was bad for the country.

We're talking about Afghanistan here. I'm aware that Biden has reversed plenty of Trump's other policies. That's a topic for a different thread.

    Here is some material.
Notice in the dispatches, Trump is not talking of leaving Iraq.
    Biden does however.

There's no way Biden can be responsible for Afghanistan.

That has been fail since Bush.

It was fail from the jump..Oh! Indeed it was.

Fair enough. My short answer is he's just come and continued the withdrawal policy. He's not responsible for the situation in Afghanistan. There's no deal for how the Taliban behaves except that they are not to harbor al-Qaeda etc.

It's a pity that we can't come in and beat back the bad guys and fix a country so they can beat back their own bad guys. I can't think of a compelling example where this has worked.

Perhaps South Korea? But they had their s*** together already.

Biden is responsible. Do you also refuse to read what the authority says?

Biden said don't worry, Afghanistan has a 300,000 man army.
Just go back to sleep. Josef has this in hand.
    He owns the defeat.

Biden called it, no one else. Deflecting only means you can’t defend Biden who had no withdrawment plan.

Biden is the sitting president and in that sense he is responsible. What would you suggest that he do instead?

Get our boys out of there.

I was a lot younger when that thing started.

    Couple decades or so.

I've drank a lot of beer with people that lost a lot over there.

I am going to have to put the blame on General Abizaid and I sure hate to do it to him.
General Franks plan worked. He got the Al Qaeda out and the Taliban out. He retired leaving behind a country that voted. And was moving forward to Freedom.
Recall when France made Washington's victory possible?
France did not hang around to rebuild our country.

Abizaid was in charge for 3.9 years after Franks retired.

Afghanistan was lost the instant we decided to try to install democracy there. Which makes it a Bush loss, an Obama loss and a Trump loss. The best we can do for places like that is arm The People (not their corrupt leaders) and let them either take their country back themselves or choose to surrender to their criminal theocracy.

Franks had the best idea of all and he implimented the plan.
Arm the hell out of the rest of the Fighters in Afghanistan.
Give them total air cover and bomb targets the Afghanis needed to win their own war.
Set up a voting system. Say sayonara to them.
General Abizaid made his own changes to the plan and here we are.

Biden failing his task as a military commander.

    This defeat is Biden's.

Read what Centcom actually said to the press.
