    Only in California are such things possible. This guy is a murderer and he very likely will be set free, yet here we are on this board discussing whether Dylan Roof should get the death penalty or not.

    Regardless of what Kennedy’s sons think, the parole board never should have approved this. And with Newsom being the last defender of justice, well, I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t apologize to sirhan for the time he spent in prison.

    2 of RFK's Sons supported granting of parole:

    Two of Kennedy's surviving sons, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Douglas Kennedy, supported his release during Sirhan's 16th appearance before the parole board.
    Sirhan arrived at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in May 1969 after being convicted of first-degree murder and assault with intent to murder.
    "I'm overwhelmed just by being able to view Mr. Sirhan face to face. I think I've lived my life both in fear of him and his name in one way or another. And I am grateful today to see him as a human being worthy of compassion and love," Douglas Kennedy, who was a toddler when his father was gunned down in 1968, said during the virtual hearing.

    Sirhan Sirhan is 77 years old.

    He has spent the last 53 years in prison.

    It seems to me that he has paid his debt.

    He committed a terrorist murder because of his love for Palestine. He was originally sentenced to death, it was commuted to life and he hasn’t paid off on either of those debts.

    Normal people would want to strangle the person who deprived them of their father by murdering him. The Kennedy boys, there’s something wrong with them. Could be the ultimate in virtue signaling.

    Seems to me he hasn’t. He was originally sentenced to death. Then after Cali abolished the death penalty, it was changed to life IN PRISON. Debt not paid if this parole is granted.

    Could also be the Kennedys have in the meantime figured out it wasn't Sirhan who killed Robert K.
    Sirhan insists he doesn't remember the shooting.
    Does the world actually know who killed his brother, JFK, almost 4 1/2 years earlier in Dallas?
    That it wasn't Harvey Oswald is pretty obvious.
