Here we are almost a year into Slow Joe’s administration and the number of COVID deaths exceeds that for Trump’s term. How is that possible? Old Creepy Joe assured us that he would shut the virus down. Not only would he shut the virus down, he wouldn’t even need to “shut the country down” to do it, that’s how good he would be. The senile old fool has done nothing of the kind and I’m sure CNN and MSNBC are even now going over their stories of how he lied, yes lied, to the country

I don’t know about you but I’m waiting breathlessly for those stories.

“...didn’t Joe Biden promise to shut down the virus? Back in October 2020, then-candidate Biden — or whoever was running his Twitter account at the time — proudly tweeted, “I’m not going to shut down the country. I’m not going to shut down the economy. I’m going to shut down the virus.” That’s right. Joe was going to shut down the virus all while eating ice cream, wearing aviators and saying things like “God love ya.”

Unfortunately that tweet has aged about as well as the president. The only thing Biden has shut down since taking over in January is the Keystone XL Pipeline.”

Yep, Joe is right on it!

“Unlike Trump, Biden had some major advantages when he scuffled into the White House on January 21. The Covid-19 vaccines had been developed, thanks in no small part to Operation Warp Speed, and were already being distributed across the country. The medical community knew far more information about how the virus spread and who was most at-risk of getting seriously ill. In other words, besides maybe Barack Obama, no one really thought Joe Biden could mess things up. We underestimated him.

Fast forward to this week and rather than addressing his own failings or taking questions about his broken promises, the president is rambling on about Cabbage Patch Kids and making TikToks with Bill Nye the Science Guy.”

Stupid Xoe said, I believe it was October 2020 and yes the video is out there, anyway he said that Trump should resign for allowing 200,000 Americans to die from Covid.
Well stupid Xoe how many Americans have died under your watch? And you have the luxury of Da Trumpstas three vaccines. Stupid Xoe please do the right thing and resign immediately

This whole thing could be over in two weeks if they wanted it to be. Ask yourself why they don't?

This whole thing was planned, years ago. It won't be over until the perpetrators are prosecuted and imprisoned, and at the rate we're going now that won't happen. They refuse indict and prosecute Fauci for blatant perjury.

Considering the fully injected+boosters can catch and carry, you should think beyond cliche statements, hmm?

Serious question, given the one sided political nature of opposition to any measures to get this pandemic under control, how can you justify blaming Biden? In what ways has he bungled the response?

It’s certainly a good argument for continued masking and distancing.

What 'suspicions' would those be? Your vagueness pretty much says you don't know at all. Here's a hint:

If you choose the injection, that is your choice. If you choose not to have the injection, that is your choice. I don't have the right to make your choices for you.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news this morning, but masking and distancing have no effect whatsoever on the spread of the virus, anymore than black cats have any effect on one's luck. It's superstition, nothing more.

That’s an interesting assessment. Could you source that claim?

Real life experiences. Anecdotal and scientific evidence by way of tests. Empirical evidence.

Maybe YOU could prove your claim that they actually work. Please, something other than the snake oil Fauci has presented.

That's a great question. The article quoted says that he was at an advantage when he took office because of the availability of vaccines. But we read here, daily, the negativity regarding vaccines. And any step he took to combat that was criticized and thwarted. So - what did Joe do, specifically, that bungled the erradication?

Biden promised, without qualification, that he would “stop the virus.” He also stated, without qualification that “anyone responsible for that many COVID deaths should not be President.”

OK, Sleepy Joe, you haven’t stopped the virus, and you are now responsible for more COVID deaths than Trump. Why are you still President? Be a man of your word, resign...now.

Oh how I wish I had such a simplified view of the world. I, too, am shocked at the infection rate still running across the country. But what should Joe have done in place of what actions he did take?

Eradicate is a strong word. Even the countries with the strictest rules regarding the virus have not been able to 'eradicate' it. But Biden used it as a selling point, which many believed, and considering fear was a selling feature of this entire event, it bought him some votes. Biden made promises he couldn't keep.

I won't get into the 'criticized and thwarted' aspect, since that's been the political game of both sides since day one.

Fair post. But I am interested in what people thought he should have done. When the left criticized Trump for his response, we were very specific about what he should have done - but I'm not seeing the same from the right in their criticisms of Joe.

Could you explain, again considering the one sided nature of opposition to protection measures, how the continued presence of Covid is the fault of the Biden admin? Can you point to what policies and actions of his have exacerbated Covid in the US?
