How’s ‘shutting down the virus’ going, Joe

What's amazing is the fact that under Trump, the virus really was novel and we had a lot to learn about dealing with it. With all of that knowledge things are now worse under Biden than they were under Trump, when not much was known.

 

The delta strain is the reason. It causes more severe symptoms and has some resistance to the vaccines. Hopefully omicron will replace it. Omicron doesn't kill its hosts and since it is more contagious has a good chance of replacing delta. Nature is at working resolving the problem. Government actions aren't effective. Government has no jurisdiction over viruses. Government just needs stay on the sidelines and let natural selection work. Common sense.

 

It isn't. Neither Biden nor the whole of government have any control over a contagious virus. Hang on, nature appears to be fixing the probllem by providing a successful strain we call omicraon that doesn't kill its hosts. Government has only erred on the response to the virus. It hasn't caused anything.

 

But, but, but...Slow Joe promised to destroy COVID! He told us Trump did nothing because he didn’t care if people died, but if we elected Biden and Harris everything would be better, no one would ever die from COVID again! What happened?

Have you noticed how the CDC has finally abandoned the PCR test and admitted that the test has been grossly abused and misused? Have you noticed that it admitted that the test cannot detect infection? That it cannot distinguish between the flu virus and the corona virus? That policy became effective 1 January.

Many thousands have been making that point for 2 years, just as its inventor Kary Mullis made that point many years ago.

Still, the frightened, credulous and oblivious humans are flocking to be tested with a test that doesn't work. People are funny, especially when frightened.

I knew that and said it many times. That the test was picking up flu and every other thing. I feel validated.

This virus could be solved shortly if people would just stay home if you're sick! And stay home until you are completely without symptoms!! Just like we should have been doing all along. And that means don't run out and get tested or run out and buy a test. If you do have covid, you are infecting others when you go to the test site or store. Just stay home! If you are sick enough that it seems an emergency, go to the hospital and they will test you for covid. Otherwise just stay home!!

There is too much testing. All it is doing is getting sick folks together, in which the disease spreads and closing down businesses. Self quarantine and then you won't need a test, unless you become deathly ill and then they will give you one at the hospital.

 

Yes, with herds of humans in South Florida now lining up to be tested with a test that they do not know cannot detect infection, herd stupidity is being demonstrated all over again. It's like Deja Vu, eh?

Herd immunity was reached many months ago, through normal processes. For all practical purposes the virus has become endemic in the species.
