Trump did not lock down (although he used that language). It was State Governors who did the lockdowns in their States.

 

You are making schiff up. COVID was down in your county in July due to it being the middle of SUMMER TIME, when virus activity is typically at its lowest. Vaccinated people have been contracting and spreading COVID around all the same as unvaccinated people have, even not too long after becoming "fully vaccinated" when shot-induced portions of adaptive immunity should be at its highest. Besides the existence of the rest of the adaptive immune system, you are also completely ignoring the existence of the innate immune system.

You are talking about me, yet refuse to tag me because I've been completely owning every single assertion of yours in this thread.

It was relevant to our discussion because a travel ban is a travel ban is a travel ban, regardless of the reasoning behind said travel ban (such as national security threats or the existence of a viral "pandemic"). When Trump banned travel, he was called a racist and a xenophobe (among other things)... yet when Biden bans travel, nobody dares to call him such names.

 

By going back to what Trump was doing and having very beefed up border walls and security to prevent illegals from coming into the country illegally in the first place.

There's no need to test/vaccinate citizens of other countries if we don't let them illegally come into our own country in the first place. Problem solved.

 

So my mention of ivermectin as a treatment option, and your disagreement with that mention, means that you are "no longer on board" with my post? Such divisiveness is why this country is failing.

Let's just say that I've given 'likes' to numerous posts on here without being in 100% agreement with them. Why completely "jump ship" simply because I mentioned ivermectin as a treatment option and you happen to disagree with that sentiment?

You and I have never discussed it, so idk what your position on it is other than your rejection of it as a COVID treatment option. I, on the other hand, accept it as a COVID treatment option. From there, we can have a discussion about it.

 

How about preventing them from sneaking in? Up the criminal charges, stop making it worth their time to sneak in.

 

It's another example of bigotry rearing its ugly head... Not all conservatives like Trump (let alone think of him as a messiah)... not all Republicans are conservatives... etc etc

It is also a tactic to assign a negative label to someone in order to dismiss and cease any discussion about a particular topic. "You're just a flat earther... you're just an anti-vaxxer", etc etc

 

@DaveBN Here is an example of me liking a post even though I don't 100% agree with it... While I happen to view ivermectin as an effective treatment option, I'm not ******** on his post because he happens to not be as excited about ivermectin at this point as I happen to be. I can still recognize that I wholeheartedly agree with the "guts" of his post, which is that numerous other tidbits of knowledge about how to combat COVID (or any illness, really) are well known and studied, yet are being suppressed by government campaigns to "mask, distance, and vaccinate" meanwhile the government remains completely silent about much cheaper and sensible measures such as eating a healthy species appropriate diet, exercising regularly, reducing stress, getting adequate sleep, and etc...

 

But the whole thing was just a "fake news media" conspiracy to make Trump look bad.

I didn't see anything referencing migrants who gained illegal entry being addressed in your link. Perhaps you'd care to specify?

 

Good post. What really amuses me is these authoritarian types want to force or pressure others into actions to “protect” others in society, but they have no interest in actual taking actions to protect themselves. They want to sit around and moan about Covid but have no interest in mitigations that would actually end the pandemic. They keep erroneously claiming 90% of hospitalizations are unvaccinated, but when told 90% of Covid deaths are in countries with 50%+ of the population being overweight/obese they suddenly lose interest in statistics.

Great idea, but we haven't yet found a way to stop the 'sneaking in'. The wall didn't do it - and a large percentage of those here illegally came by flight and over stayed their visas.

 

The percentage of overstays varies, but it's around 40-45%. It is a huge problem, and one that needs to be addressed. Most at least have a basic set of vaccines and immunizations required to come here at all. the ones who enter illegally, don't even have that.

But that doesn't change those coming over the border and not having been legal from day 1. Both Northern and Southern borders, BTW.
