This being the month of "The Woman" an interesting question posed in National Review review vis-à-vis the proclamations we here from the left such as Lea Thompson declaring he is just like the women on whose team he swims.

    What Is a Woman?
According to its website, International Women’s Day (marked this past Tuesday) is a celebration of the global “social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.” The theme for this year’s platitudinal musings — #BreaktheBias — was supposed to be imagining a “diverse, equitable and inclusive” world that’s free from “bias, stereotypes and discrimination.” I have a suggestion for next year’s theme: #WhatIsAWoman?

“What is a woman?” is the question that Anneliese Dodds, the U.K.’s Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, was unable to answer on BBC Woman’s Hour on International Women’s Day. The presenter, Emma Barnett, gave Dodds multiple chances to answer on behalf of the Labour Party. But after rambling about people who have gone through gender transition “who want to be defined as a woman,” the best Dodds could come up with was, “It does depend what the context is surely.”

Dodds’s confusion did not deter her from writing on Twitter that “Labour will lift women up, not hold them back.” In response, Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling wrote: “This morning you told the British public you literally can’t define what a woman is. What’s the plan, lift up random objects until you find one that rattles?”

Dodds is not the only progressive who struggles to answer this question. For instance, earlier this year, the Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil alongside two transgender activists. “Can you tell me what a woman is?” Walsh asked Ethan, who identified as non-binary transmasculine (though appeared to be a hormonally masculinized woman). “No, I can’t,” replied Ethan. “Because it’s not for me to say. Womanhood looks different for everybody.” Another activist, Addison, who identified as non-binary (though appeared to be a cosmetically feminized man), had a go: “Womanhood is something that is an umbrella term—” at which point Walsh interjected, “That describes what?” “People who identify as a woman,” Addison said. “Identify as what?” Walsh asked. “As a woman,” Addison said. “What is that?” Walsh replied. And round and round they went.......

So for those who do not subscribe to the biological definition please tell us

A woman is one of the two sexes present in the human race, outside of genetic disorders. They are characterised by their possession of the same sex chromosomes and internal sexual organs.

A woman can not be man made. A woman is born with a vagina. Period.

A woman is on one end of the ever lengthening line of labels which define some gender recognised identity.
A man is on the other.
In between is a nonsense of new and flourishing descriptors which are supposed to flag to others, impressed by this stuff, the precise amount of femininity and masculinity one thinks they have.
It sounds like new models of robots being marketed.
A woman is born with female biology.
A male is born with male biology.
Someone's their self identity doesn't match so we call it homosexuality.
The rest of today's subsets of subsets is a daft attempt at being unique and is frankly, pathetic.

What about Swyers Syndrome which is someone with female genitalia and internal organs but XY chromosomes?

The BINARY STEREOTYPE no longer applies thanks to the ever expanding KNOWLEDGE that we learn through the use of Science.

I am both a man and a woman SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Granted that I originally identified as MTF transgender and that was understandable given that I had only just started my own RESEARCH into the issue for my own edification.

Once I gained a clearer picture of the SPECTRUM of genitalia, attraction and gender I came to realize that the BINARY STEREOTYPE was the problem.

I do NOT have to CHOOSE one or the other given that I am Gender FLUID. Native Americans have a term called "Two Spirit" and while I have no ancestral claim in that regard I do understand and can relate to those who identify as being Two Spirit.

What I am not is a heterosexual biological female.

What I am is a heterosexual PERSON who now has both male and female biological attributes.

And this is not just my opinion either. Apparently someone who does not know me and I have never met in person saw me the other day and remarked that I was tall woman to someone else. That fitted exactly with what I was wearing and how I was feeling that day which was as a woman.

Women my age cannot bear children but that does not make them any less of a woman. Women my age use the same HRT that I do and that does not make them any less of a woman either.

So if you are going to ask the question the onus is on YOU to understand that being a woman is not just a matter of appendages and plumbing.

My short answer to the OP is any PERSON who has a first hand understanding of what it means to be womanly is a woman.

A woman is an individual who has the right to make their own decisions about their life.
    and before someone asks,
a man is an individual who has the right to make their own decisions about their life.
a busy body and sometimes a tyrant is someone who wishes to make decisions about someone elses life

That is just your perception as opposed to the reality that I have lived with for almost 7 decades.

Furthermore we have evidence of this going back many centuries too.

Just because one political party has their knickers bunched into a wad over something that is none of their business does not mean that there is anything "sudden" about the biological SPECTRUM.

Science says a man can not become a woman. It’s physically impossible. When you die a scientist can dig up your bones a thousand years from now and still know for fact if you were a man or woman. That will never ever change.

If you honestly believe a man can become a woman you don’t believe in science so don’t even mention it.

They are sterile as planned by nature so as to not create a third sex.

If there is still DNA in my bones they can identify exactly WHERE on the SPECTRUM I belonged because I seriously DOUBT that the current smallminded BIGOTRY is going to last another 1000 years.

That does NOT mean that they are incapable of carrying an implanted fetus to term and giving birth.

There are PLENTY of other women who are just as INFERTILE as those with Swyers Syndrome.

Furthermore EVOLUTION is constantly rolling the DNA dice and no amount of naysaying on your part will prevent nature from creating a 3rd sex.

The "BINARY STEREOTYPE" is not the problem. Prejudice against deviations from the stereotype can be a problem.

A problem which an independent thinker like you can probably handle with very little difficulty.

They can carry with medical intervention, but they do not produce their own eggs.
BTW, I appreciate you making the best life for yourself, and you have done well in making the adjustment.
However a genetic anomaly is a roll of the dice and has little to do with the alphabet of “variations” being conjured up by the woke police designed to give cover to their own insecurities.

There are MANY genetic VARIATIONS and yes, they are ALL a role of the dice.

I suggest they adapt to the norm rather than demanding the norm adapt to them.
