Academy of Motion Pictures: Will Smith was asked to leave Oscars after hitting Chris Rock but refused

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on Wednesday said that Will Smith was asked to leave Sunday’s Oscar ceremony after hitting Chris Rock but refused to do so.

The academy’s board of governors met Wednesday to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Smith for violations against the group’s standards of conduct. The academy said disciplinary action for Smith could include suspension, expulsion or other sanctions.

Many have focused on why Smith was allowed to remain seated front row in the Dolby Theatre after the incident. On Wednesday, the academy suggested that it attempted to remove the actor from the audience.

“Things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated,” the academy said. “While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognize we could have handled the situation differently.”

That's the last straw who the HELL does he think he is???? Yeah they could have handled it different like go to commercial send down security including the deputized security inform him if he did not leave he would be arrested on the spot and if he refused use appropriate force. I even heard Wanda Sikes complaining about it today and how gross it was they let him stay.

Of course such policies work. That's how other western countries do it, and they are FAR less violent and have FAR less prisoners.
The social programs and the lack of guns are specifically addressing the cause of criminality.
The GOP fail is that they are only addressing the criminality but not it's cause.
It's like having an open border policy and kicking out illegal criminals, and being proud you're kicking out more then anybody else.

The US stands out by being exceptionally far more violent, with people being shot all the time, and with a heck of a lot more people behind bars. Those other similar western countries got an entire different approach to violence and criminality compared to what the GOP thinks how you should deal with it.

A gang crackdown is the equivalent of having open borders and being proud you're kicking out more illegals than the other guy. It's simply better to get kids not join a gang, so you do not need to crack them down.

It's also better to make it impossible for illegals to earn money in the US, instead of trying to stop them getting in... and when in, do nothing about the money they are making. For instance undocumented workers were employed at Mar-O-Lago. You can kick them out of the country all you want. But when Mar-O-Lago gets no penalty, it means they will pay the next batch of undocumented workers. And they will show up because of that too. Germany has rules that you can get fined up to half a million euro, and possible also prison. They simply made it profitable for the government to find illegals, instead of making it profitable for a company to employ them.

Howard Stern commented that Smith would never have dared to slap Jason Momoa if he had been the one telling the joke.
That family is probably one big dysfunctional clan. They go on talk shows to discuss their affairs and the wife sounds like some stiff-necked dilettante. Disproportionately high violent crime rates are found anywhere that has high concentrations of blacks. This is not a United States thing, it is a black thing.

 

White and black people do/deal about equal amount of drugs. And in some cases, it's white people who actually do/deal more drugs. They overdose on drugs more too. This entire drugs business generates a lot of violence. An addict hitting their children, to an addict needing to steal for their next hit, to the seller protecting the goods. But the cops flat out arrest far more black people on drug related crimes then white people. And when white people end up in court, they for more often than black people do not get sentences. So when you eyeball the statistics about "crime".... do realize where these numbers are the product of institutionalized racism.

As an example. Charlie Sheen is a violent wife beating alcoholic and drug addict.
He got a rather well documented criminal record, of him being send to rehab and or probation.
A poor black person would been send back to jail over and over and over.

Macaulay Culkin is also a gem, who had the rather typical appearance of a drug addicted homeless person.
Only arrested twice in his life. Never sentenced to jail.

You're eyeballing the stats that indeed black people are treated like that. These stats are truly a gem. Did you ever look up who gets in trouble more during traffic stops, and who gets stopped the most?

We all know how this works.
In the US, it's a white thing to get away with it.
And you're just typically only looking at the results of this institutionalized racism.
