We all appreciate the genesis of your anger over Biden's, and America's, successes. It's a Repub thing.

Biden has also offered a variety of tax credits, such as first-time home buyer’s tax credit, a refundable renter’s credit and a tax credit for informal caregivers, as well as a significant increase in the child-care and dependent-care tax credit. (He also supports reinstating the individual mandate if people fail to purchase health insurance, but whether that is a tax or just a fine, as the Health and Human Services Department defines it, is open to debate.)

Five respected organizations have calculated the impact of Biden’s tax proposals: the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC), the Tax Foundation, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB), the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and the Penn Wharton Budget Model. They broadly agree that the Biden plan would raise between $3.5 trillion and $4 trillion over 10 years — and that such a tax increase would moderately reduce the anticipated size of the U.S. economy in the coming decade.

The tax analyses also broadly agree that virtually all of that revenue would be gathered from the very wealthy or from corporations, with about half of the money coming from the top 0.1 percent and three-quarters from the top 1 percent of households.

Juts more lies, can you even help yourself? it's telling for sure. So, you're clapping for more inflation, more taxes, and more constraints on an already struggling, contracting economy.

What Success? The promise to take more money out of the economy and crash it? Your version of success looks pretty bleak...

It was the same Inflation Reduction. What had changed from the bill that republicans had supported in July? One line?
If Republican Senators vote unwittingly, for, and then against, and then for a bill, they shouldn't be so fickle.

When you say, "load[ed] with everything," like what?

Passing it contributed to Democrats obviously having a good week.

You're comparing Trump's net job loss over his whole administration to THE WHOLE U.S workforce??? The FACT alone that he's the only President who LOST jobs... even if it were ONE... .should tell you that job creation is not something a Trump loyalist wants to be talking about.

How many amendments were made to the bill in the house?
How about taxes on corporations? That sounds so nice. We will just tax those rich corporations. But let's consider the real effects. Those rich corporations are owned by stockholders like me. That same profit is taxed twice. Once in the corporation and once again when I am taxed. Then consider that taxes are just another expense by the corporation like rent and electricity. Those costs are passed on to the consumer when he buys the products. Democrats love taxes. To hell with the consequences.

I know. But you're not getting the joke. The funny part is that they are NEVER "in question" to right-wingers when the number is below expectations. And how pathetically desperate they get when they are above.

This is the last time I explain to you the funny part of a joke. In the future, if you don't get it... you don't get it....

Gotta feel for the poor billionaires. They're going to start getting less welfare from the government.

They aren't getting any welfare from the government, to begin with. Besides, you think this tax hike on billionaires is going to amount to anything? Why hell no...lol. This tax hike is going to hurt people who are a long way from being billionaires, or even millionaires

It's the little people that are going to be hurt by the increase in enforcement. They're going to go after us little people like a MFer. Good job taking care of the working folks...lol

    Lost because of Covid.
It is not a joke. I check the labor participation rate just about every month. It tells you more than the unemployment rate.

The left is claiming all these jobs created. They were not created. They are just being filled after a long vacancy.

If you try to come up with jobs gained based on the unemployment rate and the labor participation rate, you actually come up with jobs lost rather than gained.

I wish the employment was as good as the administration claims. We still have unfilled jobs and people who could work, but don't. I am particularly feeling this because of my old age. I cannot pay anyone to do anything.

Which right wing media propagandist told you people who fall in the latter two categories will be in trouble?

The consumer outlook for inflation decreased significantly in July amid a sharp drop in gas prices and a growing belief that the rapid surges in food and housing also would ebb in the future.

The New York Federal Reserve’s monthly Survey of Consumer Expectations showed that respondents expect inflation to run at a 6.2% pace over the next year and a 3.2% rate for the next three years.

While those numbers are still very high by historical standards, they mark a big drop-off from the respective 6.8% and 3.6% results from the June survey.

    More sadness for Repubs.

Common sense tells me that. Are you familiar with all 44,000 pages of the tax code? Of course you aren't. Nobody is. See how mistakes can happen?

Most economists will tell us that the recent inflation is a world wide problem. It was due, ultimately, to the pandemic which caused world wide disruption in the supply chain, which we are just beginning to recover from, nations forced to enact stimulus packages to prevent economic downturn, which worked, and the war in Ukraine forced gas prices to rise world wide, but it's coming down

So, noting that Trump's stimulus equalled Biden's, so he contributed just as much to inflation as Biden did on the stimulus front, so putting it all on Biden is disingenuous.

Yeah, in the PRIMARIES. Your point is misleading.

    Biden's jobs numbers are terrific.

No, you need to start telling the truth, which is:

People are eating them to survive!
BTW, to whoever the insulin troll was:
Insulin did not belong in the reconciliation bill. It was put in there for ignorant citizens to believe the media claims: “Republicans vote to Kill Diabetics”. Only the very naive believe this stuff.

We already know that when Trump, or one of his minions says something is in a bill, MAGA-extremists will believe it regardless of what is ACTUALLY in the bill.

Yeah yeah yeah... I read Crapo's crap about people who make less than $400 thousand and will now have to pay a few cents more in taxes when they buy stock of multi-billion corporations that used to pay close to nothing (or nothing) in taxes.

    It's bullshit!

I guess those of you who only fill out a 1040EZ won't realize any difference.

Us folks who actually make money will, though.
