Note climate has been changing for almost three and a half trillion years. False. The OP title asks the question, and the responses have been uninformative, and starting to go sideways. So I reiterate the OP question. There is a difference between someone accomplishing something that they have set as their goal, and doing something for the general public.

As for me, I haven't put myself out there, insulted adults in general, demand things be done they way I want them to be, and then sold myself to people who put lots o' dollars in my piggy bank. I just make sure 600+/- people get correct paychecks, and the company survives these wild economic times.

 

Dude the same people that hate fossil fuels hate nuclear power even more. And the other alternatives are far more expensive, far less efficient. And how do you plan on replacing plastic. And lots of luck opening that mine to get to the rare earth elements you absolutely have to have if your going to get all these green techs up and running because the dumbasses that are against fossil fuels also hate mining especially open pit mining about only cost effective means of obtaining those elements of which there probably aren't enough anyway.

Some niche people were discussing climate change while everyone else was discussing the profits made by producing more and more oil, plastic, margerine, polluting cars, entire islands of plastic in the middle of the ocean and along every beach on the planet. Not to mention killing fish.
Meanwhile changes in migratory patterns, disappearing planetary poles, entire island disappearing under water in ten years, are collateral damage.
As long as you are OK, the rest doesn't matter. You will just find excuses to protect the status quo.
Thunberg may not be getting through to you, but she sure is getting through to the next generation. God knows someone has to.

I live in a large house, travel extensively ... I have no interest in cutting back if society in serious about people screaming "hoax" and doing as they please.
