He can’t if the question is directed towards his company.

As to anything that would directly incriminate him, he can take the 5th..
    So?
What are people expecting him to disclose?
The color of drapes in the Boardroom?

Forced to testify? Will the trial not be in America?

Wrong. The profits his company made is fair game.

He cannot plead the 5th if it is about his company. A judge can order him to answer or be found in contempt.

Do some research. Questions about his company is fair game. He cannot plead the 5th.

BUT, that info is NOT relevant unless it is directly tied to the criminal case vs Hunter...
    Thus, the 5th would apply...
Unless, of course, he is asked about what type of carpet is in the main office...
PS--Anybody who thinks that Hunter can be "forced to testify" (about anything even remotely incriminating) is living in fantasyland...

Do you want the non-pretending version as to why there's now a "special counsel"?

This question goes out to Republicans as well, as no, nothing is going to happen with David Weiss, just as nothing happened with John Durham.

The non-pretending version is that the House Oversight Committee has been digging up way too much dirt on the Biden crime family, which is a big no-no, so now a "special council" is needed in order to act as a silo to protect the Biden crime family. Now, with the presence of a "special council", the Biden crime family is protected from the House Oversight Committee via the excuse of an "ongoing investigation" (which will always be "ongoing").

Corrupt Uniparty elitism at its finest........ two-tiered justice system, per usual.....

He can choose not to take the stand which is most likely what he will do.

Y'all wanted Weiss as SC. So, you got him. But he didn't deliver what you wanted, and now you don't want him?

Make up for ****ing minds, and why don't you just admit you don't care about evidence, or prosecutorial discretion, you just want Hunter in jail and Joe Biden indicted, because you are mad that your guy has been indicted almost four times, and many of his associates have been convicted, not to mention the long history or Republican convictions.

If you are so bothered by Republicans going to jail, then quit voting for criminals.

Sounds to me like, for some, it's not about facts-- it's about fantasy.

Well, Weiss has brought charges. Those charges were in a plea deal. That plea deal went south. That means all options again are on the table, including another plea deal. He could face trial. He could face additional charges. And with those additional charges and the original charges, he could also have a plea deal.

The main point is that the GOP wants a trial. No if's, and's or butt's. Anything less, the GOP will think that "special privilege" is the cause and that is outright committing perjury to the public by a GOP politician.

Yes, the GOP cannot run on policies. They have not done that since 2021. They will continue to argue the 2020 election was stolen, the culture wars is the fault of the left, and that we are not great anymore while using fear as their battering ram to get voters to vote for them. The GOP does not want democracy anymore. They want to rule. This is why they are going after it again, proposition 1, to make it harder to change laws and so forth. And that was soundly rejected the first time. It does not matter if the Republican nominee is DJT, DeSantis or any other person in the far right. They are no longer interested in Democracy. They will call totalitarianism a democracy and only want their way. No one else. No other point of view. Popular and government-approved free speech will be accepted. Anything criticizing the GOP government will be considered a crime if they had their way.

    He isn't going to trial...lol...what a hoot!

Kemp can pardon Trump if he's convicted in Georgia.

If he is a defendant in a criminal case he cannot be forced to testify.

The 5th Amendment only applies to self incrimination.

Yep. My mistake. The governor of Georgia can't issue pardons.

No, the judge can't. Not unless Hunter has been offered immunity and, thus, can't incriminate himself. Trump pleaded the 5th about his own company how many times?

    SO?
What Exactly would be the purpose of compelling Hunter to testify if his testimony didn't shed light on his personal involvement?

Who are you even talking about? I've never wanted Weiss for anything (and don't even know who he is other than now being a "special counsel" silo to protect the Bidens from justice for the crimes they've committed).

No. I want the Biden crime family in jail for the crimes that they've committed (which includes treason). Republicans should have impeached Biden a long time ago, but they don't because most of them are RINO Uniparty hacks.

I don't give a **** how many times liberals indict Trump. I'm still voting for him regardless. And no, I'm not voting for DeSantis, even if his plan to blackmail voters into voting for him in order to "save Trump" pans out. **** the bullshit Uniparty hacks. Trump or bust.

Don't care; still voting for Trump.

You are the one who keeps voting for criminals (Biden, Clinton, Obama). I'm voting for removal of the corrupt Uniparty status quo. I'm voting to restore this once great republic.

"Hunter would be force to testify"
    So? Which is it?
So? You admitting that the statement in Post #24 was Dead WRONG?
    It's a start...Baby steps...
