I proved to his GF that he wasn't Mexican..because he left the table all pissed off. She stayed with me at the table and talked to me about the ideologies. I convinced her to talk to her BF and tell him that he was wrong. I won the argument there hummingbird. I told her to take him to a therapist and look into who he really is. The problems with Mexicans here in california is that they have no identity, and that doesn't happen with blacks. Do you see a black guy telling you he's african? NO! they say they are American. Its not his choice, he's american not mexican.

In life you have to make a commitment hummingbird, you have to choose who you are. You are either white or black, you are either German or American, you are either republican or democrat. You can't be both. It's time for Mexican-Americans here in california to choose to be americans, starting by speaking english and giving up the old crap about california being Mexico.

Yes, I agree. It does occur to me that they want their babies born here to accept American citizenship and receive all the benefits of being American, but without the loyalties to this country. Oh course, I am not speaking for everyone. I'm sure some love this country like their own. But, I would say the majority would wave the flag of mexico above the American.

I'm sure it's really no problem at all for Americans. As long as you follow the law upon getting here. I know many Mexican CITIZENS, and they tend to be very hard working decent people, who understand and appreciate what America is and what it has offered them. When you start out in this country a criminal, there will be none of that...they have already stated that they don't even appreciate that we have laws for a reason, and that they must be adhered to just like in any other country...including their own.
