And you would also prevent women from using the pill for medical reasons, such as to keep their period under control. They could get pregnant while using it, and the egg wouldn't implant. Those cons want to make women suffer as much as possible, obviously.
If this is true then this is a stupid ass law. It amazes me how religious nutbars would rather have children born into poverty then prevent it. And in my line of work birth control is a good thing. Besides, males aren't genetically capable of practicing abstinence. If it were possible then priests wouldn't be molesting little boys.......
Try again. This change would set the standard that life begins at the moment of conception. Conception happens before the fertilized egg is implanted in the uterus. The pill form of birth control prevents the egg from implanting in the uterus. Meaning, that indeed, the pill would become illegal because it would stop a fertilized egg from implanting, thus killing a zygote, aka a fertilized egg. So yes, this new legislation would make contraceptives illegal. I never understood how the right can be against abortion AND again contraceptives which are the leading preventatives measure against needing an abortion. It just doesn't make any (*)(*)(*)(*) sense.
Right... I'm sure that's what they told us about the "War on Drugs". A bit of 1984 mix it with the Handmaiden's Tale and Voila! Right-wing paradise. Can't wait until the fundies have the first person charged with child-pornography stemming from sonogram images. The ludicrous often becomes the reality when you let these zealots run the place.
Because birth control means you have can have sex without consequences, and to the right wingers, this is a bad thing and very immoral. If you want to have sex, you should be prepared to have a baby.
I've provided an example pertinent to the topic. You've provided your usual contribution to the discussion. Nothing.
And while they're at it, I hope they plan on INCREASING funding for the many unwed or single moms which will likely proceed from their misguided legislation.
oh,dont worry,im sure your favorite violator of the 10th Amendment in the White House will send his crony judges in to stop this law.
Still...nothing. Perhaps you should spend all your time in the off-topic section. Since the everything is off-topic there, your posts would be relevant.
Yes what a shame we have laws against murder and robbery and rape and assault and sex with children because of people forcing their moral beliefs on others.
word. Conservatives hate the government and want it to stay out of their business except for telling people who they can marry and telling women what to do with their bodies. Conservatism=Hypocrisy.
Did you use fresh or old straw to make it? Try again, you claim it a shame to base a law on moral beliefs Yes what a shame we have laws against murder and robbery and rape and assault and sex with children because of people forcing their moral beliefs on others. Those are laws based on moral beliefs yet you lament that we base laws on moral beliefs.
They are illegal because they go against our moral beliefs, whatever one bases their moral beliefs on. Do you believe atheist don't have moral beliefs? Like it is immoral to take someone else's property or immoral to sexual assault someone? So do you agree it a shame we have laws based on moral beliefs?
yeah, but rape and murder are against 99.99% of people's moral but only right wing nuts believe in banning abortion and contraceptives and embryonic stem cell research. Your problem is that you are trying to use government to legislate your moral beliefs.
