The response to stories like this illustrates why I find politics so abhorrent at times. Partisan's will latch on to any current event, any minute detail to justify their ideology. Gun laws aren't the culprit here, although if I really had to take a side I err on moderate gun regulation, certainly less than we have now. You think criminals give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about gun laws? Look up the statistics, most of the guns used in violent crime were bought at trade shows or stolen.

I wonder what this guy's motive was, I hope they catch him.

It was just announced this person, James Holmes, has no affiliation with the military and was on no terrorist watch list. He is from San Diego, California.

It is foolish to believe when guns are outlawed the criminals and psychos in our society will not be able to get their hands on guns. The only people without guns will be law abiding citizens who desperately need them for protection.

Al this policy will do is create a black market in guns and ammunition that will be sold surreptitiously in back alleys and off the street.

They have very strict gun laws in Chicago and Washington DC and these cities have to highest murder rates in the world. You can purchase an AK47 that can easily spray a theatre or concert with 50 rounds in these cities anytime you want one!

I hope he gets life in prison as a person that shot kids, women and one six year old little child he will get no mercy from the real inmates who put scum like this on the bottom of the bottom on the list. If her survives his first day in General Population he will end up in Protective Custody for the rest of his waste of a life. I won't even call him a human being he is an animal.

As for guns if some of the crowd just had decent taser weapons with range they could have stopped him, more guns could have made things worse in case someone missed.

 

Actually, the 24-year-old killer is from San Deigo, California.

His apartment is booby-trapped.

California is a blue state; not a red state.

 

Do you have any idea how many six year olds died last night?? Some killed in auto accidents, some fell in the tub, some killed by their drug addicted parents. I feel more for the ones that were thrown in the ocean by their mothers. Those that died from cancer. This six year old should not have died and I do feel for her but she is no deader because she was killed by a gun instead of being killed by a perverted uncle or drunken stepfather.

Our problem is that this shooter will be seen as a victim by the left, the media will try to understand him and see if they can make him into a conservative. He should be dead and pictures of the bullet holes in his head should be posted on the internet by now. But, he will be fed and cared for by the state for the rest of his life and the liberal horde will do their best to use his insanity to their advantage. I would at least have this nut hooked up to truth serum drugs and asking him if anyone helped him. Then I would introduce him to some pure heroin as his last meal.

 

If he had been shot as soon as he entered the theater from the exit door he used, he would have been the only one wounded.

This is a good argument for more concealed weapons permits. By the way, you have to pass a stringent background check and attend lengthy firearms safety courses before you will be issued one.

Obumer was already on t.v. using the shooting to his advantage. To be fair though he did say today's fundraisers won't be full of there normal hilarity's and good times. For him to give up his "fun and fascinating" tirade is very kind indeed.
