Fact is, libs made it political. And now it has blown up on them. They made chicken (*)(*)(*)(*) out of chicken salad.
I'm still amazed that they're in office at all. Surely standing up, and openly discriminating from a position of power such as theirs should lead to something more than simple derision. They should be forced to step down IMO. Abuse of power on display, one can only wonder what goes on that we have not been privy to...especially when they felt so empowered as to do this in the open.
You bet, millions of Americans showed the world just how ignorant and hateful they could be. Hooray for the Redneck, White, and Blue!!!
A company that gives the $$$ it makes to support groups that deliberately hurt innocent American citizens. That is what the people who went to Chik-fil-A were supporting last Wednesday. They were supporting HATE, that good old American value. Does the company have a right to do this??? Of course. Do you have to suuport a company that does?? Only if you are as much a hater as they are. Simple. That is all that this was about. Supporting hate. That is what much of the GOP platform boils down to....supporting hate. You can dress it up with excuses, lies, and false opinions, but it always comes down to the same thing. When you hate a segment of society for no reason, and keep them from being equal citizens because of this hate, you are HARMING men, women, and children. There is no getting around the harm caused. It's there, it's real.
if you have any links that support that I would be interested in seeing them. All I have seen along that line is just parroted propaganda from the gay militant sites with no facts to back it up.
Limiting marriage to heterosexual couples isnt hatred of homosexuals. It is a recognition of the biological fact that only heterosexual couples procreate
What people might not realize is the extent to which Chick-fil-A has funded organizations with radically anti-gay messages through its charitable arm, the WinShape Foundation, which was created by Chick-fil-A founder and chairman S. Truett Cathy in 1984. According to a July report from Equality Matters, a gay rights organization, the foundation donated nearly $2 million in 2010 to groups such as the Marriage & Family Foundation, the Family Research Council and Exodus International, which has helped "men and women surrender their sexual struggles to the Lordship of Jesus Christ" since 1976. http://abcnews.go.com/Business/chick-fil-company-political-leanings/story?id=16925613
JD, here I think you judge too quick, I don't dislike you personally, I bet if we met in person, we would get alone fine, a few hiccups aside. In fact, we would enjoy teasing each others politics. I think that holds for almost all others.
You said "hate". In fact, here is exactly what you said: Show us the "deliberately hurt ........ and hate" activities of these organizations. as you claimed.
Easy, a lesbian couple decides to have a child. One or both gets inseminated with sperm and they become pregnant. Simple really.
I won't explain the mechanics to you. You can google them. I was fertile and gave birth to two beautiful daughters, my sister had two beautiful sons. I now have two wonderful grandsons from my very heterosexual daughter (all the kids are heterosexual). Life keep rollin' on.
seems to me that telling someone that they cannot operate their business in a town because of their religious belief is just as ignorant, hateful and bigoted. I fully support gay civil unions for legal and financial purposes but draw the line at forcing a pastor to perform a marriage ceremony which contradicts his personal beliefs.
Everyone wants freedom. All individuals are owed freedom. Everyone has it at birth. Yes, people have enabled the government to rob us of freedom, but that doesn't mean that we no longer have it. It means we've refused to say "no".
Religion is the biggest divider in the world. It turns people into sheeple who hate based on book written by sheep herders from 2,000 years ago. Its not about 'tolerance', its about getting people to understand that religion is a divider, not a uniter.
Hurt??? Exodus International has been shown to cause harm to the people it treats. Don't believe me, check every major medical association. Now common knowlegdge. Harm??? Every man, woman, and child that is denied their rights is being harmed in over a 1000 ways, every day. You can twist, and turn and spin, but that is a fact also. Homosexual families are being denied the support and benefits given to other families. Now you will deny all this, but I have gone on record with it.
You made the claim. You re-asserting it is not evidence. Further, are these people kidnapped ? Held against their will ? Again, it is for you to at least try to support when you make accusations such as that. Show me the "right". Show me what "rights" are denied. Polygamous families are denied the same privileges, but privileges are not "rights", which I believe is part of your disconnect. If you want to lobby for civil unions, and benefits that go with such, that is different. But that would be to create an entitlement, and not a "right". Many Conservatives are pro-civil unions. In fact, I want to go far beyond Social Security reform than just that. However, I understand the wide gap between a "right" and a legislated entitlement.
very good Now how exactly does Exodus International harm gays. I did a bit of research but to me it looks like all they do is offer counseling to sexually confused people who seek them out. Am I missing something here ?
