Good for Google...we do not live in a nation where speech is only protected when loud violent minorities threaten folk.

Google has done enough by blocking access to the video in India, Indonesia, Libya and Egypt. Pakistan and Afghanistan also have taken their own measures to censor the video. The controversial film was financed and produced by expatriate members of Egypt's Coptic Christian minority group in the US to get around local regulations in Egypt and YouTube should not be a part of the criminal syndicate by distributing the video in the Arab world and YouTube rightly exercised its own right to decide what kinds of content it will and won’t distribute.

It's not pulled, it's just banned in Libya, Egypt and Indonesia.

It's not blocked in Egypt I can still watch it on YouTube , don't really care if they remove it or not . Though if they're willing to keep a video that offensive to some people then why do they ban all sexual and commercial content. I mean if their willing to keep that video why the hell won't they let me watch football highlights.

Commercial content is owned by someone. In the case of football, it is the NFL.

Hey. Agreed, but for other reasons. Google is in the tank for Obama. The film, and its publicity, is a false-flag operation to detract from the failure of Obama's appeasement.

The film must be elevated to protect and deflect from Obama.

I meant real football the one were you use you foot, my point is though they're willing to (*)(*)(*)(*) off an entire culture of people but unwilling to allow highlights from sports games. Isn't there something wrong with that picture.

Because Obama made a deal with the Saudi's to publicize the film in Egypt (it was their station that did so).

Obama needs to film to blame. Your tax dollars at work, btw.

I think Obama's failures are all too obvious of late regardless of the best efforts to distract from them.

Oh . . . soccer? Probably the same reason. Commercial property has copyrights and other pesky issues. Free speech is a different story. What's wrong with the picture is that there is a group of people who think killing is an appropriate reaction to being offended.

That's true , the reaction to the Video has disgusted me as much as the movie itself.

I heard You Tube temporarily pulled the vid for an undetermined amount of time. Their right....Even though this behavior (on the part of the radical Slafaists) is completely abhorrent to US we need to understand that this is THEIR reality, their beliefs and their lives. Free speech is not an option with them and death is the price one pays for even talking trash about Mohammad. They are 16th century tribes living in a 21 century world only....they have money...OUR money. Open the Canada pipeline, drill, build refineries, start slowly turning the $$$ spigot off. Then....slowly go back in with support etc. and build a reputation for STRENGTH.

This has to deal with rights and who owns what, as was already explained to you. Sports games are owned and cannot be shown unless permission is given. In Germany we cannot watch certain videos because licensing fees are not paid on the songs.

    You don't say....
You mean google will not pull a thing just casue someone in the world find it offensive.
I guess this is the first time someone put a film on google that some one found offensive.

Or maybe you think they should pull only what you find offensive ?

Good. It would be an insult to the victims of those terrorists if Google gave in to their demands.

The expression of political or religious belief on American soil is protected by the First Amendment to the US Constitution. It trumps the expression of religious fervor by foreign nationals on foreign soil. Case closed.
