While Martin had every right to be afraid, I don't think he was, not one bit. I say that because he knew Zimmerman was following him and at one point came up to Zimmerman's truck. He walks away and later starts running and lost Zimmerman, then came back and confronted Zimmerman. I am sure Martin thought Zimmerman believed he was going to break into one of the homes and he was going to confront that Cracker and teach him a lesson.

 

Except this looked more like the Dreyfus affair.
