This isn't a democracy, it's a democratic republic. If the majority wanted to legalize child porn, they woudln't get their way just because "they want it". Colorado legalized it and the other states can to if people elect politicians there who want to.

And anyone who thinks they're living in a "police state" just because they can't get high should be forced to do some time in a North Korean prison camp, so they can see what a real police state is, instead of whining like little kids.

I'm sure it was his hatred for America that drove him to join the marines and protest the death of people he loved that are still in the corps.

    ((double eyeroll))

Okay, the above was sarcasm since you don't seem to get it when I use it. I would attend communist meetings with a friend of mine in college because they are also anti-statist and because the music was good. I also had people to argue with. When I attend libertarian meetings it becomes an echo chamber.

You only have real views when those views are challenged. However, I understand that this is an alien concept to you so feel free to continue to think of him as a communist. No skin off my nose.

While you're at it, think of me as one, too. I really don't care. It just makes me seem more exciting.

Who made them join the corps?

Extreme libertarians aren't really that different from marxists, their views and desires for America are strikingly similar, just with slightly different means. But both are unrealistic.

Feel free to point out where I've said we live in a democracy or have called for us to become one.

Feel free to point out where I've said that we live in a police state just because I can't get high.

    Thanks much.

The overwhelming majority of people do not want the kind of world that the whack jobs like Kokesh want. Period. No question. It's a bad idea. He needs to sit down, shut up and do his shrooms quietly and stop bothering people.

If we wanted his unworkable fairy tale land, we would elect people who "think" like him. We don't, so we don't.

A belief in many cases in those lies told by government about what was going on over seas. Then they got there and realize what utter garbage.

Ask any Iraq vet if they felt we ought to have been there.

You think that they aren't different because you are uneducated, but that's okay. Continue to lecture on this and other topics like transgenderism and causes of homosexuality. It's always amusing to read.

For example, please explain how the economic policies of communism and voluntaryism are the same. I'd love to be educated on this topic by you.

In other words you can't. More lies, thanks.

    Alright Lefty,

let's say enough of us...oh, 1 million wanted to live that way...do you think we should be allowed to have a cordoned section off where we are free to do so? Provided we use NO SERVICES of yours or the military.

    Philosophically speaking...shouldn't we be allowed?

Communists' ultimate goal is a voluntaryist utopia - they just believe in govt indoctrination to achieve that end. The goal and ideals are both the same more or less.

So you have no clue what I was talking about. Figures. I'm not a fan of Kokesh, merely an occasional observer. But the theater is on fire...

Well taking you at your word that'd mean you believe terrorism is justified, you just call it "revolution".

Okay having thought this over, I'm thinking I was a little bit too harsh in this thread.

My overall opinion still stands, I wish I'd toned it down a little and been slightly less of a dick.

perhaps he saw so many horrible things in Iraq and it distorted his mind,
but inciting a revolution to change the government is way radically extreme,
it's one step closer towards sedition.

I was there, TWICE. And I believe we should have been there both times. Saadam was an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and was killing millions of his own people, of course he needed to be taken out. And only a fool would believe he wasn't supporting terrorism.

No, that's your fallacious "logic", Z, and you know better.

Just because someone thinks Kokesh is a fool, not a martyr, and his tactics are ineffective and counter-productive, not rousing, that doesn't mean that person wants to cling to the law and the state blah blah blah.

Dick Heller didn't have to spend a day in jail to get the District's handgun ban overturned. Neither did Otis McDonald in Chicago, and both of those men have done more to defend and advance our 2nd Amendment rights than Elvis Kokesh has ever done.

not to mention, and I repeat this for the millionth time for the slow witted. Adam the Coward did NOT practice civil disobedience. He was quite clear that he was protesting Obama's tactics in the Middle East, not the DC gun law that he broke. Civil disobedience is breaking a law that you disagree with to protest that law, not breaking a law to protest something else.

I'm laughing at the prospect of Elvis running for president. :)

On the bright side, this might be a sign that he's finally catching on. The best way to "fight The Man" is to become The Man yourself.

I know we've elected three Presidents in a row who have clearly used drugs in their past, but Adam the coward is going to have a hard time overcoming a criminal conviction for possession.

I guess the latest interview with Adam the Coward has chased off even his most ardent supporters LOL

"I am for abolishing the federal government, and oh yeah I'm going to run for POTUS in 2020" LOL

Just another victim of the immoral and unconstitutional war on drugs and individual rights.
