What amazes me here is the open admission.....setting aside a ban that was invoked to protect the United States is counter productive to the idea of fighting the war on terror to proetc American way of life is complete buill(*)(*)(*)(*).

He's admitting he is and has been arming terrorists and the junkie headed Obamabots on here can't see how harmful that is.

Firedoglake, a liberal site if ever there was one, is reporting that Barry Hussein Obama has simply waived a provision of federal law designed to stop the flow of arms to terrorists groups like the ones fighting in Syria for instance.

I thought we were at war with Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda is certainly under that impression as well as they've vowed to destroy America. And wasn't Obama standing up at the national Democrat convention in North Carolina not so long ago bragging about how they are "dead"? 1) So if they are dead why is he acting like a dictator and simply nullifying national law to suit his whims?

The American people, conservative and Liberals, are in vast majority against getting involved in military action in Syria. How on earth is Obama getting away with Arming the rebels who in their ranks have fundamental Jihadists (terrorists)? I read Obama armed the rebels two weeks ago. If this is true then did he not arm terrorists before lifting the ban on arming terrorists? Did he not already break the law with that? I mean besides the fact that he is ignoring the law in general. Since he essentially lied to the American people about arming the terrorists for two weeks by omitting the facts, I am sure he is omitting more. Like is there training going on? Are there boots on the ground training? What is the whole truth? Since Obama lied about no boots on the ground in Libya, why should we believe anything he says about Syria?

 

We would need to assume from this logic that dumping tons of guns on the Chicago gangbangers would make it easier for law enforcement to disarm them. WTF.

While I am no fan of Obama I doubt he wants to arm AQ. Just because AQ supports a particular side in a conflict doesn’t mean that entire side, or even the majority of that side are terrorists. Just because the US allied with the Soviet Union in WWII doesn’t mean the US was a communist nation.

That said, best intentions aside, some of those weapons WILL end up in the hands of AQ. Once we hand them over they are out of our control and it is a chaotic situation. The administration needs to acknowledge that.

 

The thing is that the rebels are virtually impossible to differentiate from the extremists and even the ones that are will still likely lock arms in battle with the more hardened, experienced al-Qaeda/al-Nusra fighters out of mere practicality and perhaps desperation.

The Turkish government has been trying to vet moderates in FSA to form a parallel government when and if Assad falls and so far they have been unsuccessful.

 

I do not think his agenda is to destroy us. I think however that he has sympathies towards Muslim fundamentalists because it is part of his upbringing. I think he thinks he is doing good when he arms them. I think it is stupid.

 

I think Obama should forget about arming and disarming people and go back to playing golf and taking vacations. Everyone would be better off - all over the world.

Suspending the law which prohibits funneling arms to known terrorists is enough in itself to warrant impeachment and removal from office, but there have been dozens of other significant actions by this President over the last five years to amount to grounds even without this event.
