More Lies: "I never said you could keep it"!

That's a hell of a strange way to solve a problem, make a bigger one.

FFS, you guys could have universal care for what this is costing. With the premiums you're paying, spread across a non profit system [corporate profits for hospitals and insurance companies] you could have a salary based, descending scale premium system that could include everyone at less than these horrendous rates. FFS sakes, someone is making some really gross profits here.....

I wonder if it might be the people who wrote the law...Obama's friends?

This just angers. There is NOT ONE SHRED of decency in this whole deal. I once thought that maybe, these scoundrels had a righteous agenda, that some of thse mistakes were just incompetence, but no one abandons 123 million people and sleeps at night, not if they have human DNA.

Terrific vid... I can see the Shyte House staff in their tap dancing routine now. Excepting maybe Hilary. Not sure she can be that quick one her feet at her age.

 

It was rotten from the git go. Look they turned the whole system ass backwards for 15% of the people and (*)(*)(*)(*)ed the 85% who were happy. If they truly wanted everyone to have insurance, why didn't they just do something for those 15%? Mostly those were probably under the poverty level. As it is now, everyone will soon be without insurance.

 

You're right, but that means handing even more power and control over to those bastards.

I'll sell the farm, move to your fair city and renounce my citizenship before I submit to that. There was once something about this country that's still worth fighting for, even if it's a losing battle...

 

That same opinion is beginning to gel with me as well.


I cannot for the life of me understand how these blind, anemic defenses of a lie can even be uttered by an adult.

There is something rather frightening with a person who can do that. I've known a few, they often become execs and movie directors. But I have never seen an entire following engage in it.

In other words, here's an analogy for you to refute - an evil warden tells his chief guard to round up and beat up some prisoners, which chief guard commands his guards to do. So prisoners have been beaten and complain to the warden who tells them - I had nothing to do with it.

NO ONE who would have trouble sleeping after (*)(*)(*)(*)ing people over could be employed in Washington DC. that is a truth, one that happens to apply more to this administration more than any other I can remember, but its nothing new.

 

It's like that saying "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely", but there's more to it than meets the eye. Power doesn't corrupt, places of power attract corrupt people to them, and they get in there and invite all their buddies. It only ever gets worse. Obama will now be telling even more lies, and you'll notice this, they will have this sleazy attitude like we're all supposed to just go along with it even though we know it's wrong, like how dare you expect honesty in politics, what's wrong with you? What Democrats fail to realize is that every time they open their mouths to speak, the only result it has is to give more credibility to the so-called wacko-birds who have absolutely seen enough and don't mind so much anymore whenever some deranged monster goes on a shooting spree at the airport.

 

Well, there is that. Interestingly, I did hear a health economist say two years ago that Obamascarce would lead to an infusion of small business to Canada, which has begun and an increase in immigration from the US, mostly of middle and upper income earners who would have to bear the brunt of medical costs under Obamascare.

Low income earners would not find it attractive here because of taxes, and high income earners are touchy too. But as Obama dips deeper and deeper into the middle class to pay for his failures, the tax rates get very favorable when you consider that health insurance premiums drop from as much as $5,000 a month to $104 a month.

But then housing prices are the killer. A one bedroom condo, no view, lower floor with reasonable access to amenities in the outskirts of Vancouver start at $1.5 million.

 

This from the guy insisting the obamacare portal disaster is the result of republican software engineers sabotage.

 

It’s now a matter of bipartisan consensus that President Obama should have been more honest and forthright in selling his health-care plan. Here is the transcript of the speech he never gave:

"Hello, St. Paul! It is so good to be back in the great state of Minnesota. Go Gophers! [We love you!] I love you back! [Stomping, cheers.]

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve been talking about health-care reform a little lately. [Laughter.] I want to set the record straight on a few things today.

Republicans are out there scaring folks, and saying that they’ll lose their insurance. [Boos, jeers.] No, no — hey, just because they don’t care about people doesn’t mean they are wrong about everything. [Laughter, applause.]

And they’re right about this. Some folks are going to lose their insurance. Millions of them, in fact.

Let me be clear: Just because you have insurance you like, doesn’t mean you can keep it. If it doesn’t meet the new federal standards, your plan is going to get canceled. I guarantee it.

Some of my political advisers say, “Hey, you can’t go out and tell people that, Obama. It doesn’t test well. People hate it in the polls.”

And you know what I told them? “I . . . don’t . . . care . . . about . . . the polls.” [Applause]

I said: “That’s the old politics. That’s what’s wrong with Washington, DC, right there. If you think I’m going to go out and lie about my plan, you’ve got the wrong guy. What did you think hope and change were all about?” [Laughter, applause.]

So, yeah, some of you are going to lose your insurance. Now, because of the marketplace we’ll set up, you’re going to go online and shop for new insurance. Some of you are going to get a better deal. If you don’t make much money, you’re going to get help from the government. [Cheers.]

But let me be clear again — and Axelrod hates this part [Laughter] — many of you are going to pay more than you did before. Maybe double. Because all of these new regulations cost money. You don’t believe in a free lunch, do you? [Confused murmurs.]

What we’re proposing is to get young, healthy people onto the exchanges so they can subsidize everyone else, by buying coverage they don’t want or need at a price that is higher than before. Why would they do that, you ask? [Faint laughter.] That’s what the individual mandate is all about. We’ve got to force them.

As for the doctor you like, you might not be able to keep him or her, either. [Murmurs.] If you have to change your plan, your doctor may not be in the network. And to try to keep costs down, the networks in the exchanges are really narrow. By the way, top hospitals probably aren’t going to accept a lot of plans from the exchanges, either.

Some of my friends on my side of the aisle try to minimize all this. They say that the bill has a grandfather clause. Wait until you see the regulations we write on that one — there will barely be a grandfather clause left. They say that only the 5 percent of people who get their insurance through the individual market will lose their plans. But that’s still millions of people.

Now, I can hear some of you right now saying that universal coverage is worth it. [Yeah.] But let’s be careful about that. The respected Congressional Budget Office says under my plan tens of millions of people will still be uninsured in 2020.

So that’s why I wanted to come here today, St. Paul. I wanted to tell you the hard truths. I know you can handle them. [Isolated clapping.] I know you will still support my plan, which, admittedly, is a little complicated. But we put a man on the moon! There’s no way we’re going to mess up a health-care law. Not on my watch.

I had had my own experience w/someone whom I now believe is a sociopath and they can suck you in w/their charm. At that time, I didn't see what was happening, but my guy was observing all of it. I had total trust in him and when he started telling me 'she's dangerous' and explained why he tho't so, I listened and knew he was right. I broke off all ties w/her. Since that experience, my antennae shoots up when I see a charismatic person, bubbly, friendly, knows all the right words to say, comes across as 'caring' ..... and my antennae was really shooting up when I watched Obama during the 08 campaign.

You know how a country is taken over by a dictatorship? There's 3 commodities that the government very slowly takes over - health care, the food supply and education.....
