That's what I suspect also. . .not too easy to "not know" when one is as controlling and bullying as he is! And the way he reacted a couple of weeks ago to the first "noise" about this was to totally disregard it and actually go on the attack, belittling people for even considering such a "plot!" . . .Him who protests too much. . .

Solyndra, goes belly up with half a $Billion$ taxpayer dollars into the rabbit hole with big Obama Donor getting his money back ahead of the taxpayers.....no problem no one fired.
Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used private eMail address to conduct EPA business against the law.....no problem no one fired.

Wrong, because when lane closings occur for legit reasons, EMS, Police, and others are notified and have their emails answered. Neither happened at this time. In fact I have crossed that bridge several times. Planned closings are usually made known through signage.

Faced with facts he simply said "It wasn't me"....and only when forced. He seemed to not care as local reports made the claim that it was political in October Christie admitted he never talked to anyone about it. That is not a leader....he didn't want to know or he knew all along. Either way that is just not leadership.

No he did not. He waited until the reporter who has been questioning this for months published emails leaving no doubt. What he did immediately was mock people who said his office was involved and not investigate. So my money is on the fact he knew and didn't think it would be a story.

What it tells me, he is absolutely innocent of knowing, otherwise he would not have jumped immediately to take responsibility, unlike Obama, because if some email surfaces that he did know, he would be finished.

Your interpretation is not true at all.

Christie claimed that no one on his staff was involved. Then, when it became apparant that they were, he stalled for a day or so, and then fired them.

The person in question is a childhood friend, who got the job on the basis of no other credential other than his relationship with the Governor.

This is not the first time that reports have surfaced regarding Christie's vengenful vindictiveness. Before he became Governor, he was famous in NJ political circles for it.

So, the whole story doesn't ring true, and never did from the start. What kind of "traffic study" can you do when you take all the traffic off the road?

I still like the guy, but this is part of who he is.

Oh, yes, the Mayor of Ft Lee accepted his apology. Sure. But what did he extract from the Administration for it????? That's the way politics work, in New Jersey and everywhere else.

It is when EMS workers were stuck in traffic unable to get to their destinations. It affected a search around town for a lost 4 year old girl, school buses were unable to get to schools (the email Wildstein wrote about this stated not to feel guilty because "they are the children of Buono voters"), and a woman died of a heart attack after it took EMS workers twice as long as normal to get to her home.

Christie has become famous for using bullying tactics to get "bipartisan" support. Even if he had no hand in this scandal, he absolutely created an environment amongst his administration wherein staffers could consider it acceptable. They were simply emulating his style.

 

Really you are upset by Christi not asking his staff what they are up to? Really. Please don't make me post all the things Obama didn't know what the IRS was doing or Eric Holder or Janet Reno or anyone on his staff.

 

As I pointed out on another thread Christie may have peaked too early in the polls and the lib news media had to take him out now instead of waiting till 2016.

If the people Christie fired pull a Lois Learner and refuse to squeal on the boss there may never be any evidence that Christie did anything wrong.

But the lib news media has to protect the interests of Hillary Clinton and that means Christie has to fall.

Which is a little ironic since Fatso never had the support of the conservative republican base and maybe never will.

Back on topic... ah, hell... I've never really cared for Christie, not even before he kissed Obama's ass after the "Sandy" rainstorm that Easterners thought was such an over-the-top "global warming" catastrophe. (Hint: If you choose to live next to an ocean, at some point you can expect to get wet.)

As far as this lane closure over the bridge controversy goes... one thing is for certain: Christie answered every question about it, and left himself NO "wiggle room" at all on this issue. This is, we must admit, a FAR cry from "chief executives" who just jive-ass around and smile, dodging every issue and scandal, while saying that they know NOTHING, while they are doing NOTHING of any benefit to the taxPAYER citizens they are supposed to making life better for.

If Christie has lied the hyperliberal "news" media will barbeque his fat ass and tear him to pieces, for days, for weeks, for months! Meanwhile, another well-known leader in this country we've all heard of can LIE LIKE A COMMON CRIMINAL, over and over, and over again, about things that affect 1/6ths of the economy of the entire United States, and the same hyperliberal "news" media writes a few "tsk-tsk" articles about it, and then ignores it completely....

As I understand it only one side of the bridge was closed. If it was the lanes going towards New York away from New Jersey then Christie is pure evil personified for preventing people from escaping New Jersey and forcing them to stay there longer. Being in New Jersey is like being at Chernobyl, you don't want to stay around very long and you definitely don't want to touch anything.

If the lanes that were closed were the ones going towards New Jersey and away from New York then honestly who cares. Who actually goes to New Jersey?

 

Janet Reno isn't on and never was on Obama's staff.

He asked them when he learned about them. Christie knew there were questions months ago. Show me where people were asking the President questions about something specific and he said he never asked about it.

I am completely convinced that this was deliberate by Christie and his staff. Look at the email addresses, they yahoo accounts. Why are politicans and their staff using yahoo for an email, other then no paper trail.
