Cecil the Lion vs Kate the Human

Here's a comparison, they were both killed by guns, does that count?

If you don't know that they are selling body parts then you haven't been paying attention to the news.

Here's an assumption that needs to be corrected: Republicans may be trying to stop abortions, and they may be trying to defund Planned Parenthood for illegally selling body parts for profit, but even if they did defund Planned Parenthood, that wouldn't stop them from performing abortions which is only 3% of their services and it certainly wouldn't close their business (97% of which is not abortions) since they are a non-profit and still charge for their services. They'll still get money from the government for those services by charging it to Obamacare.

I am a right winger and my mom is a Mexican woman. I would care if she were killed by an illegal immigrant. I care about the Mexican woman, 26, who was killed by an illegal alien drunk driver, 26, in my town 6 years ago, on Halloween. He shouldn't have been drinking here, he shouldn't have been driving and he shouldn't have been going the wrong way on the freeway. He only got six years in prison for killing her. I don't know if he's been released yet, but I hope they deport him.

But the question is, do you care?

 

Is this a serious thread? Never even heard of this lion until now. I'm just glad Kate's killer will suffer the rest of his life behind bars!!

 

It's 25,000 plus homicides (not all of them killed only one person) that didn't have to happen at all and wouldn't have if they weren't here illegally. I think that is too many. What difference does it make as far as statistical averages go?

 

The democrats are letting them in by not enforcing our laws and securing the border. It's that simple, enforce the laws.

The RINO republicans are in on it with them. Both parties are bought by large corporations that want cheap labor.

 

The comparison is not between the lion and the woman, the comparison is the outrage for the death of the lion, and the lack thereof for the woman. It's funny (not) how some people miss that.

The libruls are just hoping against hope that the killing of Cecil the Lion will keep Planned Parenthood selling baby parts and the Sanctuary City mess out of the headlines.

 

And the average liberal, as evidenced by Obama, would have the tax payers fund the genocide.

What twisted argument from someone who obviously doesn't give a f about the lion and so trying to find parallels between two completely different events.

First of all, there is an outpour of people who are angry at this foreigner who was allowed to enter the US and kill this poor girl. There are many many people who are condemning Mexico and being more that happy to get their hands on this illegal immigrant and lynch him. Also, justice will be served. This guy is going to go through justice system and receive harsh punishment.

this loser dentist, on the other hand, is not expected to receive any kind of punishment so people are taking it upon themselves to leash punishment. If this dude would've been arrested and people knew he was going to receive harsh punishment, they would surely back off and get satisfaction knowing he was going to be punished. Given most don't expect this loser to receive any punishment, they are trying to make an example of him by unleashing their own punishment - standing by his office, forcing him to close his office, death threats (although i don't support this at all) and pleading for him to get extradited and tried in court. I frankly think this is more than fair, the guy deserves a lot of this and this hopefully will make others think hard before they commit the same act.

The justifications for this heinous act are laughable... This guy lured this majestic animal from a preserve, used a crossbow to not call attention and killed just for the thrill, nothing more. This was a living creature and this coward animal (that's what he is) killed the lion for fun! This disrespect for other living creatures we share this world with is what is going to lead to our downfall, 100+ years from now. We have been responsible for extinctions of many species and this mentality will surely lead to many more extinctions. When i hear that some hunting is for 'population control' i laugh. African lions population was around 250k back in 1975 and now it's estimated at 30k. Contrast this to humans (by far the most overpopulated living creature and the most harmful), who grew from 3.5b to 7b between 1975-2014. So, lions are overpopulated? Who's controlling human population? How would people feel if another species started controlling our #'s by killing us, just for the thrill?

at least if this coward would've fought off the lion with fists but no, with weapons and honoring the lion with a slow death. This guy should be put in jail... Anyone who gets satisfaction from killing such amazing species (who are pretty much endangered) is a coward. I would not shed a tear seeing him being hunted by lions in the wild. I didn't see Jimmy Kimmel shedding tears over the death of Kate Steinle. That is the point. The viral social media outrage over the death of one lion vs the lack of outrage over the death of the woman. And the people who object to the killing of the lion are caring, the people who object to the murder of Steinle are racists. People need a little perspective.

You think people who are concerned over the illegal killing of a lion don't get upset when humans are illegally killed?

You know illegals are here because American businesses need their labor. And it is why no R or D prez or congress has deported all of them. Not to mention, it is virtually impossible.

People who care more about the lion than the woman won't lift a finger to stem the flow of illegal immigrants criminals flooding across our borders in spite of the tens of thousand of Americans that have lost their lives to these people. That is what we are up against. They care more about the lion than all those dead Americans.

If the laws were enforced it could be done cheaply and easily. Secure the border, use e-verify, and stop giving them healthcare, welfare and educating their children. Deport them when caught and make re-entry a felony.
