In this thread you may change throughout the course of the election season. It is to run and track everyone who wishes to participates Top 3 picks.

My current top three... in order are:

    1. Ted Cruz
    2. Dr. Ben Carson
    3. Carly Fiorina

Needless to say that I am for a NON-Establishment Conservative. I think the money to buy Crony Capitalism, Spending, Over Taxation, National Debt, Jobs, and lack of Constitutionality are the top subjects. I find these 3 to be the best choices for my views at this time. Rand Paul is a close 4th.

    !. Walker
    2. Rubio
    3. Jindal

Mind you I like Carson and Fiorina, but I firmly believe that it takes an experienced national level politician to have any chance of becoming a good president and so I would prefer to see either Carson or Fiorina become vice presidential running mates. Oh, and to clarify, in my opinion being a governor is national level experience and ditto for being a SEASONED U.S. senator. By the time that either Rubio or Cruz might make it through the primaries they will have had four years under their belts as very active senators . . . unlike the case with Barack Obama who was NOT a seasoned U.S. senator.

    1. Rand Paul
    2. Jim Webb
    3. Carly Fiorina

This is the first time I can remember saying my second choice was a Democrat, but as I sit back and think about it... yeah, I'd be quite comfortable with a Jim Webb President.

One of the things people forget is that this guy or gal is going to be the President - that means be in command of the troops, it means deal with foreign nations, and it means having that "red button". I trust Paul. He's no coward, but he won't get us dragged into war, and he'll go out of his way to protect our Constitutional rights, even if some (*cough* Christie) find the bill of Rights to be inconvenient. I like Fiorina, she's smart, I'm just not sure how I feel about her with "the red button". But I think that's probably because l haven't seen her enough to become comfortable. Jim Webb is the man though - good guy, Academy graduate - how long has it been since we had someone who really served? Also it's be nice to see the Dems move back to the center, I'm kind of tired of both parties doubling down on distancing themselves from the center. But really, all that aside, I could live with most of Webb's policies, but his other qualities make up for it. There's no one else running I'd trust more as a commander in chief (and I'm saying that as a die hard Paul fan), and he doesn't talk some bull crap about reaching across the aisle - he'll do it.

Dems won't allow Jim Webb to run. They'd nominate Louis Farrakahn before Webb.

It's way too early. Depending on whom the Republicans nominate, if Gary Johnson runs again as a Libertarian I will probably vote for him. So I will take Johnson as number one, Jim Webb and John Kasich would be two and three. Although I liked what I saw when Jindal gave his speech when he announced.

I like that you are outside the box and non-establishment. I guess I need to learn more about Webb. I have to claim ignorance here.

My first choice is Cruz. Then if he doesnt make the cut my second choice is Cruz. And if for some reason even he doesnt make it then for my third choice / last resort i will write in Cruz.

Seriously he is the ONLY one who can win.

In the spirit of the delusional nature of the choices made, my 3 fantasy choices for next potus would be Obama, Al Gore and Bill Clinton.

Until someone shows me that they've got bigger balls than the Donald, he's still in the lead for me. I'm not entirely sure he's for real. This has always been my concern with him. So I'm still leery of throwing my full support behind him. But I want the most brazen and unapologetic candidate. And right now that's him.

Behind him, it's tough. It's pretty much a two-horse race between Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. Cruz is my boy. I love that guy. He's been extremely reliable and has proven his passion for keeping his word to the voters. I would definitely trust him in the white house if he could manage to get himself elected. But I don't know that he has the same broad appeal as Rubio. Rubio's got some hickups in his track record, but he really impressed me during the debate the other night. He was really passionate, articulate, and sincere. There was a sincerity in his delivery that went beyond empty partisan talking points. And I think that would resonate with a lot of people on the big stage. As long as he's able to maintain his spine.

Trump's got the spine of steel right now. That's why he's in the lead. And anybody that wants to dethrone him is going to have to prove that they are the real deal, that they really mean what they're saying, and that they won't back down no matter what. They won't buckle once it gets to the main election. Because we all know that Trump won't. Trump doesn't give a (*)(*)(*)(*). He's Donald Trump.

Who do I think is going to win or who do I want to win? The answers to these will be quite different.

You are smarter than that. To find out about our future we learn from our past.

This also works for individuals. We can learn about people by studying their past.

Donald Trump is a New York billionaire Hillary supporting liberal. Hillary will be the most likely opponent to the Republican nominee.

Do you really need me to spell it out for you?

    My top choices would be:

    1. Cruz
    2. Paul
    3. Kasich

I think the best chance for a Republican win would be a Kasich/Rubio ticket. You would have a good chance of getting Florida and Ohio.

My GOP picks would be Kasich, Bush, or Carson. My Dem picks would be Elizabeth Warren, or Schweitzer, the Montana governor, with Cory Booker the third. I personally want a moderate left or right of center, western state pro-American populist, but the GOP doesn't have any worth mentioning this time around, and the Dems only have two possibles high on the list. Mark Warner is a fourth, not a westerner but not some bat(*)(*)(*)(*) loony crank either, but we can only name three ...
