There IS no global security, and no matter what Trump does, he cannot make it worse than them team Obama/Clinton/Kerry already done. It can only get better from here.

Gideon Levy agrees with you and that despite him totally accepting the man has no clue what morality is and probably no conception of who a Palestinian is.

He believes at worst it could be no worse. While I agree that is true of the US's position re Israel, I do not think it is so for everything else - though I accept it is pretty dismal. I am not giving up hope that Sanders will suddenly get through at the end. ;)

Gawd you're sad. Where's the thread about your politics? Um yeah, because nobody cares. Hell, you can't even quote your own media/entertainment.

I actually like Gideon but he went from objective overview to slander mode in order to advance actions a long time ago, his own son btw not only rejects his father opinions but also served as an officer in the IDF and he argued with his father alot on how he falsly presents the IDF.

On Hebron, that's one of the few places that had a consistant and ancient Jewish communitte in Judea, calling them "settlers" is just wrong, why there are violent Jews there I dont know I think it dates back to the 2nd Intifada but to me it also stands as a bad example of sharing same cities with the Palestinians divided by 2 entities Israel and Palestinian Authority, and why I dont belive in dividing Jerusalem, we should aim for complete seperation IMO.

He is not the only person speaking about Israel becoming Fascist. I have already mentioned that Uri Avnery has spoken of the Israel government as extreme right with fascist overtones.

Levy gives the reason for his own change in opinion from his early years and the reason he gives is spending a lot of time in the West Bank and seeing things as they really are - that having done that it would be impossible to not become a critic. One of our Jewish Organisations - a Zionist one but one where the person who began it was horrified at the conditions of people in the West Bank and wants a two state solution in order that Jews can continue to support Israel, has started organising trips for British Jews so that they can go out there and witness for themselves what it is like - in the hope that once they have an informed opinion they can help to produce pressure on Israel to make changes while she still can so that diaspora Jews can still support Israel. When I looked at their website a year or so ago there were plenty of comments from British Jews who had been and whose opinion had changed as hoped by becoming informed....and remember that in a poll about 6 months ago 24% of British Jews would accept some form of sanctions against Israel and that goes up to 40% for the under 30's.

Now I do not have much hope that Trump would improve the situation much but he is the only Republican candidate who has even said that he would try to create an agreement there. The others have all given Palestine to Israel - which a post I was looking at from you in another thread ealier appears to have done also.

Where Israel is likely to start to feel pressure from the US though is probably among black and other pressure groups in the US as they have been increasingly feeling a solidarity with the situation of the Palestinians. ;)

Uri Avneri is another Jurnalist I like, him and Gideon do not reprisentthe future but (sadly) the past, in the past we had a real Left with real agenda and many of us followed that dream, I too served in the WB and too didnt like the military control we had/have, I didnt like stopping cars and search them, didnt like to hold roadblocks or to protect a settelment of 150 ppl surrounded by dozens of thousands of Arabs, I fought teh right wingers throu the process and throu the bloodiest terror attacks we had from Hamas following Rabin murder because I belived in the process and I still wish for their indipendance, and it was very very hard to do that with all the terror attacks I can tell you that, what "broke" me was Arafat refusal to Barack offer in Camp David and the break of the 2nd Intifada because they wanted to speed up things. they didnt care for negotiations and will never agree to compremise, the change didnt just hit me but to all Israelis, that's how the Left wing died in Israel and became none relevant, we simply had no reason to "fight" for a ppl that wont compremise.

Today no one talks about "peace" that word vanished from the political talk, what they are talking about is a slight weak faint cahnce of some mutual agreement over some matters - or - most probebly - one sided withdraw to the borders Israel would like to have and in that case the world will condem us anyway so this whole public opinion pressure you were talking about wont matter.

Back in 1975 near death experiencer Dannion Brinkley was shown some things about the future of the Middle East that are relevant to this.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/middl...-peace-deal-between-jordan-israel-coming.html

Near death experiencer shown peace deal between Jordan and Israel is coming.

    ...…
I read both of Dannion Brinkley's books about his two near death experiences back in the '90's.
    …

    Dannion Brinkley:

"The country of Jordan was changing color" could mean that the deserts were turning green. There is an ancient Islamic prophecy that in the latter days… the deserts of the Islamic nations would be turned green.

ill state again the only reason countries in europe and mexico are freaking out is because the US pays so much of their bills. The UK , Germany, and other European countries get away with spending less on the military and more on social services because the US is there to foot the bill for their defense.

I don't see why the US should be sacrificed to pay for Europe. Why should Europe not pay for their own defense?
