3 reasons you should be terrified about Trump’s latest rant

There are only three possibilities for Trump's latest rant about Obama bugging his phones. Three. And none are good. As a sidenote, what if all three reasons are true? Excellent editorial by Robert Reich, former Labor Secretary and author of 13 books.

We DEFINITELY have a reason to be terrified of Donald Trump's latest rant...and to be terrified of all the other Trump rants. And I agree that the Republican leadership has got to take responsibility for bringing this out-of-control, incompetent under control.

It is a shame we have managed to get ourselves where we are; it would be treasonous for us to allow the situation to continue without remediation.

But they have to lead the way.

We will see. Good for Reich for publicly saying what so many of us feel.

What's the over/under on hearing the talking points "Fever Swamp", "1+1=3", or "Trump Cult" in this thread by post 15?

 

Form the article, the 3 reasons are:

1. Trump is more nuts than we suspected – a true delusional paranoid.

2. The second possibility is Trump is correct, and the Obama administration did in fact tap his phones. But if this was the case, before the tap could occur it’s highly likely Trump committed a very serious crime, including treason.

3. The third possible explanation for Trump’s rant is he’s trying to divert public attention from the Jeff Sessions imbroglio and multiple investigations of Trump associates already found to have been in contact with Russian agents during the election, when Russian operatives interfered with the election on Trump’s behalf.​

The fourth reason, or rather 2a, is that Trump is correct and Obama acted illegally.

The most likely outcome is that there was actually a perfectly legal wiretap of Russian banks and Team Trump got caught up in those taps.

The most likely reason for the Trump outburst is Reason 3. I don't think it will divert attention, though. Not this time

 

Obviously, the whole article is spot on.

But, that is what is to be expected when you give power to an immature, mentally unstable, tinfoil hat wearing, conspiratorial, narcissist.

But, here is what I find the most hilarious:

Trump actually thinks if he stays away from cameras for a few days, this stuff is going to go away.

The US, under Obama and previous admins, has used FISA warrants to tap everybody of any importance or political consequence. So Trump is correct. If they had found something truly damaging, it would have been revealed before the election to destroy Trump's chances. Nothing was revealed, so nothing of consequence was found.

 

This is something we should take your word for?

And since "nothing was revealed"...nothing of consequences was found re: Donald Trump????

 

I'm a little lost for words on why anyone would be "terrified" of anything Donald says.

 

Great. Liars forgot what they said and got caught once again. The only way to solve to get to the bottom of this shameless affair of illegally wiretapping Americans is for the U.S congress to do its job. Go after real culprits - various members of Obama's administration.

It is a no-win situation for the president’s enemies: either they repudiate their narrative of the last several months about Russia, or they admit that under President Obama, a spying effort was launched against the candidate of the opposition party.

Reality check: Nothing revealed before the election would have destroyed Trump's chances. Unless maybe he was found with fat young boys and priests in a cheap motel, and video was taken and shown relentlessly on the 5 o'clock news.

It is occasioned by the same reasons someone would be terrified of what Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Saddam Hussein would say.

 

Robert Reich is a full blown lunatic. He has become fake news. Listening to him has as much credibility as listening to Hillary Clinton to give a lecture on IT security.
