Seems that an almost all white jury got a trigger happy thug with a badge out again.

The cop demanded to see his drivers licence. Hence, the cop demanded his victim to reach for it. So than he killed him for reaching for it. You refuse to comply with a cop: get shot. Comply with cop: get shot.... if you're black.

A jury that was able to view all the evidence. As opposed to us regular folks who have only seen one side if it. I certainly hope that if I'm ever on trial that Facebook doesn't decide my fate.

Link please. From what I have read, that is not established fact. Everything I read said that it was possible he had a permit issued in another county, but that hasn't been substantiated.

Are you saying that evidence has been hidden?

lol... neah. The Jury got all the evidence we also know. There are no secrets about this. What you really would like to have is that regular folks are the jury, and not some hand picked team of people selected by special criteria that pleases the defense team.

They probably had more information than anybody here pumping out "the facts".

Just because details aren't spoon-fed to the public or an internet forum, doesn't mean they were "hidden".

No. Another one implying that nobody here has been exposed to all the testimony or was actually sitting in the courtroom.

    Best post in the thread.

Sigh. The rationalizations I often hear from the Right on these blatant examples of at the very least huge lacking of training and critical thinking skills that resulted in a man's death..make me embarrassed that I agree with conservative thinking on so many issues.

This pervasive stupidity I see often on these forums... that if you don't do exactly as instructed to the second ( according to the cop) somehow rationalizes a cop shooting someone when at that second their life is not in danger angers me to the point of wanting to do physical violence.

Buncha racists projecting your hatred of blacks onto this dead citizen rightfully bearing arms is untenable

The man was shot because the cop was scared or not focused or both and he stereotyped/profiled him because he was a black guy with dreads. There's a video FFS. The cop fkd up! Can argue Murder but can't argue manslaughter

If that had been me? Because it has happened! If asked? I've declared I'm carrying. Twice. Both times I asked if they would like to see my concealed carry permit and both times they said no and the last time? We had a chat about my preference to revolvers over semi automatics and he asked to see my setup. I pulled my Ruger out and handed it to him. His hand didn't even so much as leave his hip. Completely at ease.

    Wanna know why? Here's why.

    20170618_120448.jpg

Man was killed because he was black. That is all.

The news also reported that this officer had been fired (no pun intended) by the PD as well.

So in court the cop was acquitted for reasonable doubt, but in the court of his own peers at the police department he was guilty.

    Go figure.

I agree that the cop was trigger happy and overly anxious.

So this sounds like it would be guilt for a misdemeanor for some kind of lesser included offense at least.

But I was not on jury or in the courtroom so I cannot definitively argue either way.

Maybe the jury was prejudiced and did not like black males and so it seemed like good riddance to them. The OJ Simpson trial proved that jury selection is everything.

Interesting thought. So DJ Trump is like Nixon in more ways then one apparently.

We'll see probably soon with Mueller investigating now.

Whats this babble about? The dead man volunteered the information that he had a gun as well as a legal permit to carry. When asked to produce his license? He was shot seven times. No gun in sight.

More like any other president with half a brain that would actually do something about rioters burning down their own city.

I keep waiting for some Democrat, any Democrat to ask this simple question.

What the heck was that black man doing carrying a gun in the car where he could reach it?

Second is why wasn't his girlfriend videoing it from the start? What did she video that was not shown to us by the media?

The jury must have seen much more.
