    When I was a kid, we played "cowboys & indians" (boys and girls played), Can you imagine this now, we'd all be labeled racists and suspended from school for pretending to have guns.

    Wow. How dare you use the word "Indians" before me. We did that too. If only his plastic airsoft gun was bolt action. The high round magazine he was sporting was not only intimidating, it was horrifying. I would imagine it had a battery in it to make it a FULLY AUTOMATIC. [​IMG]

    But we don't hear about the white people killed by police, there are no headlines, no news stories, no marches, no posts here.

    These facts will be skimmed over and ignored so they can continue with the narrative that the nation is out to get all the black people.

    And? Or, in other words, is he in jail? Has he been charged with a crime? Was his property confiscated?

    No, no, and no.

    Does this incident really warrant six pages?

    You special snowflakes desperately want this to be something that it obviously isn't. A kid made the unfortunate decision to post a picture of his realistic looking toy on social media. Someone who didn't know, or couldn't tell the difference, became concerned and alerted the authorities, and the cops and the school overreacted due to what we've just gone through as a nation.

    Again, I'd rather the police overreact a bit instead of dismissing the complaint out of hand. I say let this be a learning opportunity for everyone involved, and quit trying to make this into some pseudo constitutional crisis.

    lets see his first amendment was violated and him and his mothers 4th amendment was also violated all for posting a harmless picture of a toy gun on social media unrelated to the school or school activity
    no threats were made direct or implied he has no record of any concerning, troubling, or violent behavior and no indication of mental illness
    is this the America you want to live in a police state which you are arrested you and you home searched rights violated over something as benign as posting a picture of a toy gun

    Are you really so dense as to not understand the societal microscope the police and school administrators are under at the moment?

    Yes, this was an unfortunate incident, but the *******ned world isn't going to end because of it.

    You keep screaming about "muh rights". Guess what? That ship sailed the day Dubya signed the Patriot Act into law. And you all sat silently and said NOTHING! The police state that we now live in is a direct result of conservative Republican policy. You made this bed, now you have to lay in it.

    if you want your freedoms taken away over your uncontrollable fear of a toy gun that is your personal choice you personally can become a slave of a police state
