There is nothing wrong with what thrived before the Party's debasement by Trumpery - respect for the family, fiscal responsibility, cordial relations with allies, resistance to hostile foreign interests, admirable personal moral standards, honesty, etc.

Just as soon as that incompetent pretender in the Whitehouse leaves, if he doesn't destroy the very foundations of our country.

Demographic change is inevitable. Younger, better-educated, and more diverse Americans, females prominent among them, will, ineluctably, emerge from Trumpery's Last Hurrah.

The GOP should be prepared too welcome them. They will be both Parties.

Massachusetts, continually rated the best-educated state in the nation, appears to be doing relatively well in a number of significant metrics, but I don't see less fortunate, virulently Trump-infected states benefiting from its example. In fact, they seem to be engaged in a lemming stampede in the opposite direction.

You don't think religion should be an important facet of the party?

Not really. That's not to say the party should give off an anti religious feeling either.

I don't disagree, but I do think those in the Religious Right should have a place in the Republican Party, can't have a big tent and then exclude one of the largest factions of the country.

True a bunch of other socialists and Marxists are already attempting to do just that, but sans noticeable success despite being in nearly total control of this nation's media outlets. But I am sure that they could always use another helping hand, and so by all means, do climb aboard.

When Trump cut taxes, regulations, repealed the ObamaCare Individual mandate, appointed pro-gun judges, etc.

Point taken, but they can't steer the party from the pulpit.

Christian conservative/fiscal conservative, and I despise lies and deceptions, thus, I do not support Trump.

I deserted the GOP in 2007......the financial crisis was the last straw.

Since then, in several political forums, I've been wrongly labelled as a right-wing, left-wing, socialist, etc.

The real disease in America is partisan politics.

    To the OP,

after watching conservatives in the GOP be utterly ineffectual in opposing the policies of President Obama for eight years despite being handed repeated massive electoral success.

If the GOP couldn't advance conservative policies while controlling both houses of Congress and most state governments in the U.S. then it was time to radically shake things up.

    On several issues, I'm also a traditionalist, example;

"You have to save money for a down-payment, and then, you have to qualify for a PRIME mortgage"

Had we kept doing the above, we would have avoided the mortgage mess, thus, I blame both Democrats and Republicans for liberalizing lending requirements.

When one purportedly religious faction abandoned family cohesion to government bureaucracy, as they venerated a materialistic chronic liar who wantonly cheats on trophy wives, they exposed themselves as a hypocritical partisan political entity, and not a proponent of moral values.

    Pretty simple.

We ran out of cheeks to turn and decided to follow the left's example and kick some ass.

Sorry if it hurts so much.

    Should have thought about that.

    OP > English Decoder Ring:

"I don't understand what RINOS and Neocons are, or that the Trump movement is just as much a repudiation of them as other entrenched big government elites."
