There seems to have been a reasonable amount of European intermarriage with Ashkenazim. My 23andme says I'm 0.7% Ashkenazi and my AncestryDNA says 6%. I don't know of any Jewish ancestry. I found a possible ancestor with a name that sounded possibly Jewish to me who lived around 1700 and had kids with Old Testament names, but they were baptized in a church in New Jersey.

But it does not, nor is it meant to, go into a detailed analysis. (Click here for further education on the matter.) Second, the dictionary definition in no way whatsoever contradicts what I said. Yes, it is the discrimination and the prejudice that your dictionary describes. But the reason for that discrimination is not just a matter of "personal preference", as racists would like people to believe. It is much more profound. It has historic roots and the outcome is much more far-reaching. It involves socio-economic structures that the dominant group wishes to perpetuate. This is why a black person can be prejudicial against a white person. But they cannot be racist.
