On Saturday, Democratic Socialist starlet Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called for the abolition of the Electoral College. On Thursday, she revealed her plan to undermine the U.S. Supreme Court. It's not very original...

At a screening for Michael Moore's new film "Fahrenheit 11/9," a member of the audience asked Ocasio-Cortez what she would do if the Supreme Court confirmed all of Democrats' fears.

"If, in a few months from now, the Supreme Court looks like ... a court that would overturn Roe [v. Wade] and make the president above the rule of law, what is to be done?" the audience member asked. This question echoed one real concern (overturning Roe, which would allow states to outlaw abortion) and one false concern (taken from twisting Judge Brett Kavanaugh's record on presidential immunity).

Ocasio-Cortez, never one to defend American institutions at the risk of her activist ambitions, took a page from President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's book.

"I think we take back the House, we take back the Senate, we take back the presidency, and we pack the Supreme Court of the United States of America," she quipped. Then, as if this answer were clear and straightforward, she flippantly added, "Next!"

Sounds like the commies are coming out of the closet in their desire to undermine the will of Americans.

The number of SCOTUS judges are set by congress - not the constitution

I’m not seeing where she is trying to overthrow anything. Your title is a lie

She is clearly a blithering idiot.

No wonder the left loves her so much.

India has 31 and a mandatory retirement at age 65
The IJC has 15. I just wish we would stop appointing ideologues that will do the bidding of whatever party they represent. Doesn’t matter if we have 100 if the government just makes it a political tool to further corrupt the system.

Send American socialists to live in Venezuela or Cuba. Why is it anyone fleeing from a socialist country always tells everyone how terrible it is?

Don’t these numbnuts understand why it fails EVERY TIME?

They're freaking out because they've used the courts to push their liberal agenda. Now those days are coming to an end.

I was impressed with her at the time of her primary win and Sanders slant.

But, then I saw her in some interviews.
She really is a "Sarah Palin".
    Seemingly, not too bright.
Certainly, not too educated if you listen.
    Dangerous.
The guy she defeated in the Democratic Primary is still on the ballot I believe
with another party. She may have lost her election. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory as it the Democratic Party way.

Does anyone believe she understood it would take a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College? Note, "understood". Hopefully her handlers have brought her up to speed.

They could certainly do that as well. The SCOTUS started with 6 justices I believe. I think the more (non-partisan) justices that look over legal questions the better, personally.

And thus why we should abolish the institution. The Supreme Court is a middle finger to Political America, of both stripes. It was a needless creation. The separation of parliamentary houses was enough.

I think we need a better system all around tbh. Until we get proportional representation and eliminate fptp which pretty much guarantees a two party system I don’t believe it matters much.

No overthrow. It will simply result in the Supreme Court being an organ of the legislature. Each time Congress switches hands they will pack the court with justices to give themselves the majority and it will just flip every election.

I think the president's at rolling on the rule of law is what the founding fathers had in mind for the Supreme Court. This way laws couldn't be misconstrued to mean other things.

Nothing she said is out of bounds of the US Constitution. What part of what she said do you believe is unconstitutional?

The reason we have the 22nd Amendment is because the American people voted FDR in for 4 terms. FDR did not stuff the court...he was President long enough to nominate all those justices.

You should thank you have the 22nd because would have slaughtered Trump and would have still be appointing justices.
