Former Vice President Joe Biden denied Monday that his son Hunter Biden asked him for a favor in Ukraine while serving on the energy board of a Ukrainian energy company.

“We never once discussed it when he was there,” Biden told the Associated Press. “There’s not a single bit of evidence that’s been shown in any reporting that’s been done that he ever talked about it with me or asked any government official for a favor.”

When he was vice president, Joe Biden threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees for Ukraine if officials did not fire the country’s top prosecutor, who was pursuing a corruption investigation of an energy company while his son Hunter was serving on the board.

There is evidence that Biden's son personally made millions from his ties in the Ukraine.

When asked, notice that Joe does not deny it.

He just says there hasn't been any reporting on it.

If this was Ivanka Trump taking money from Ukraine, and President Trump responded with "there hasn't been any reporting on it", how would the dems and media respond?

Nothing shows Biden did anything the slightest bit wrong. I'd be happy to criticize Biden over the fact that his son and no darn biz representing an Oligarch with Russian ties, and Kerry's step son didn't either, while their dads were part of Obama's admin.

Time to dig through every last aspect of Biden's life. Full investigations by intelligence agencies, subpoena his kids and anyone marginally attached. Wall to wall nonstop MSM coverage. We need to know what his penis looks like, also his levels of ice cream consumption.

Of course he did nothing wrong. He did what any good father would do for his son without even being asked.

I disagree. At the very least he is giving a very lukewarm rebuke to the possibility of corruption.

He did not deny-he just said that nothing had been reported on.

He performed what the Obama admin policy required, and the west's too. There was nothing wrong with that.

Porchenko was actually a little improvement. But taking a former Russian vassal state into a real market economy is a long term process

Sons of officials should not be making money representing foreign interests though. And Biden should be forced to admit it. Otherwise he's no better than Trump.

I thought he said Hunter didn't do anything wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. But I think Hunter did do wrong

Come on Lefties? Seriously? You don't know?

    Facts:
    • Hunter was a scumbag and found himself in the crosshairs of a Ukrainian prosecutor.
    • Joe (Daddy) went to the Ukraine and insisted that if that specific prosecutor was not fired within 24 hours the Ukraine would lose $1 BILLION in loan guarantees from the U.S.A.
    • The Ukrainian leadership fired the prosecutor
A video of Joe (Daddy) bragging about it is posted in this thread. Credit @PatriotNews in post #5 above.

That was the intent. Biden's words were chosen carefully to give the impression that he denied his son did something wrong.

Bidens words.... "There’s not a single bit of evidence that’s been shown in any reporting that’s been done that he ever talked about it with me or asked any government official for a favor.”

That's an odd thing for Biden to say. There is no "evidence"? Why did his son go to the Ukraine AND China with Creepy Joe and just happen to come away with 2 BIG deals worth BILLIONS? Even an idiot should see that something is very fishy with this...

The circumstantial evidence is certainly there, certainly enough for an investigation.

Not into Biden there isn't I mean when you have a pic of the Clown holding the flag, I understand ethical questions of payoffs is a problem. But Obama won. I like Romney. But Obama gets to do for policy. And the US and West position was the Ukraine needed to shake it up to prosecute more corruption, and Biden carried out the policy. You don't get alternative facts. This issue was fully discussed, with links to the Times and Observer yesterday. And Romney would have done the same.

I do agree though that relatives of offspring should not be representing foreign interests.

Of course there is circumstantial evidence. It's weird that Hunter traveled with daddy to 2 foreign countries and came away with 2 billion dollar deals, both countries probably thinking that Biden owes them...John Kerry's son was involved too.

    What a tell.

"You have no evidence that I had been drinking when the accident occurred!"

LULZ, they really are stupid... stupid thugs from stupid public unions and other creeps who get rich from milking and lying to the taxpayers. Paulie Walnuts would be a step to the right on the intelligence bell curve from the average Complex thug LEADER. Maybe Pelosi, Schumer and Waters ARE their best and brightest and it just goes downhill from there. Hell read their posts on this forum, not dealing with a brain trust, nope.

After so many decades in DC, he no doubt will encourage this step towards transparency.
