Oh, my. It would appear the British military would think this very site is loaded with dangerous right wing extremists. Who should we report this to?

There is a reason Neo-Nazis identify as Republican and/or conservative. Actually, Her Majesty's Armed Forces just listed 20 of them. I wonder how many will be shown on this thread?

It's a bit Orwellian isn't it... spy on your fellow soldiers and tell us if you think they may be a right wing extremist..... so we can beat the crap out of him

Look at the thread on banning of extremists by internet companies

The right are frothing and running in circles screaming they will be victimised

Say that this banning also applies to Islamic extremists, Antifa, paedophiles etc and they ignore you to go back to “Oooooh! What a victim I am!! “

The same rules should be applied across the board. you could take these rules... apply extreme Islamic views and then they should be reported

    see amended (at speed
    • Describe themselves as ‘Muslims or left wingers
    • Refers to Conservatives as some right wing plot
    • Describe towns as ‘Islam taking over’
    • Looks at opponents as ‘Traitors’
    • Use the term ‘white supremacist’
    • Make generalisations about Christians and Jews
    • Have ISIS extreme group stickers or badges on clothing and personal items
    • Make inaccurate generalisations about ‘the Right’ or Government
    • Talk of an impending racial conflict or ‘Race War’
    • Threaten violence when losing an argument, although claiming that Islamist extremist groups protest peacefully
    • Become increasingly angry at mention of ‘National Identity’
question is do they have to be guilty of only one or all of these points... because if not the latter that would mean all of us qualify as extremists in one way or the other

WRONG. Only the first one of those refers to items. The others are explicitly referring to people. Seeing or hearing suspicious activity. Pathetic dodge - try again.

    Let's take the test:

    1.Describe themselves as ‘Patriots’
I do, and so do many on the left. This really is meaningless drivel that only a true globalist would consider negative.

2.Refers to Political Correctness as some left wing or communist plot
It isn't a communist plot, it is an attempt to control speech and ultimately thought. It doesn't work and nobody cares about your feelings. I would rather people be free to state what they think so I know where they stand and can judge them appropriately.

    3.Describe multicultural towns as ‘lost’
    Nah

    4.Looks at opponents as ‘Traitors’
Haven't a few highly positioned people used that term referring to a duly elected president? I think most people are misguided, but "traitor" is a very specific term that is tossed around entirely too much.

5.Become increasingly angry at perceived injustices or threats to so called ‘National Identity’
This is much ado about nothing. Everyone is entitled to get angry at whatever they want, being a nationalist doesn't make you alt-right, far-right, or even right although the tendency is to the right.

    6.Use the term ‘Islamofascism’
Never heard of the term and it doesn't make much sense.

7.Make generalisations about Muslims and Jews
Everyone makes generalizations about any group. The important factor is realizing that these generalizations are more of a trend and not a rule. Really, if you wish to disparage this then you would need to give the specific generalizations. Then you would have to consider how much of a trend it actually is. Complicated stuff of course, since I can guess the specifics that they are referring to and they would never admit a trend even if it exists.

8.Have XRW extreme group stickers or badges on clothing and personal items
Not familiar with any XRW stickers or badges, guess I'm not up on my white power signals nor my things the left can use to accuse you of racist for. (Here is where one would say "okay" using hand gestures.)

9.Make inaccurate generalisations about ‘the Left’ or Government
This is just stupid, most people are uninformed about political ideologies and government. Just about anyone without a political interest will do this, and just about anyone with a political interest will do this about the other side. Very few people have an accurate understanding of politics, including many in the political world.

10.Talk of an impending racial conflict or ‘Race War’
This is doubtful. I'm of the opinion that if there is ever armed civil conflict that it is more likely to be due to the push for more and more socialism/communism. That doesn't mean that I think it would come to that.

11.Threaten violence when losing an argument, although claiming that XRW groups protest peacefully
I've seen some on the right threaten violence when they couldn't defend their position, but I've seen it more on the left. I'm sure XRW groups would protest peacefully if they could ever protest without counter protesters, not that I think their position is anything but abhorrent, but they do have the right (in the states at least) to organize. Counter protests are fine as well, and certainly understandable, but one would think that they would be better policed so that violence did not get out of control.

    As to this childish jab:
Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s elected officials and many of the leading voices in the right-wing media, as well as rank-and-file conservatives and other Trump supporters, meet many if not most of those criteria.

If you disagree with someones politics or personality just say so, don't juxtapose them with something they aren't just to relay a subtle message that they are.

Once you start highlighting differences in individuals... you paint them as a target, especially if you label them as something evil.

ie. the first item.. patriot... if someone says he's a patriot there will be 200 calls the next day to say he's a RW extremist, pointed looks behind his back, excluded from groups and job opportunities etc...... you know the thing leftists complain people do to minorities... it's exactly what is being done to right wingers in this case,

The British forces with their history of defeating nazism don't want right wing extremists in their ranks?

    Shocking.

I do hope Ben Shapiro says something really fast about it all.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the leaflet was drawn up two years ago following the arrest of four soldiers by West Midlands Police under the Terrorism Act.

I think that is in context of being British, me and my mates would say we are patriotic but I have never heard anyone call themselves a Patriot, just the way Brits and Americans use words differently.

Thanks, not being on your side of the pond I did not realise that. I always associated it in America with the American War of Independence, possibly because of that awful Mel Gibson film!

Here it points to being a member - or supporter - of right wing militias, who want to cloak themselves in the perceived righteousness of the original 18th century patriots.
