Yea but your military needs as many soldiers as possible. Your nation is small, can easily be destroyed by Russia or any other threat...you guys can't afford to take risks. You're less than a decade away from speaking Russian

Considering the state of your air force, they must have flown commercial airlines.

    Yea...they treat us like dogs.

Free housing. Free food. Free college. Free health care. VERY low rates for loans. Post-deployment 0% interest for buying a home (off base). We can even use our CAC cards to get us free flights across the world on certain airlines.

They sure do treat us poorly...

They should be institutionalized not killed, but all in all, Germany does have a good social system. Thank God that police like you are not in charge of governments. I can understand though your low peak of tolerance, especially when you have to deal with people like this day in and day out.

Go for it. Latin sounds really nice. German sounds angry and depressing.

The difference is that the US military actually does combat missions. So does UK, Canada and many other. German soldier are too busy trying to not break a nail or scrape a knee that they don't do actual combat.

Even in WW1 and WW2 it wasn't uncommon for german soldier to walk civilian women and children in front of them as human shield because they were too coward to fight.

And yet I read that there are three suicides a day among veterans. Is it because they entered the military with certain ideals, and they didn't turn out to be what they expected?

Cant save them from slow and agonizing death.

Gulf War syndrome or Gulf War illness is a chronic and multi-symptomatic disorder affecting returning military veterans of the 1990–91 Persian Gulf War.[3][4][5] A wide range of acute and chronic symptoms have been linked to it, including fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive problems, insomnia,[6] rashes and diarrhea.[7] Approximately 250,000[8] of the 697,000 U.S. veterans who served in the 1991 Gulf War are afflicted with enduring chronic multi-symptom illness, a condition with serious consequences.[9]

What does that have to do with how we are treated? The suicides aren't because soldiers are treated poorly, in fact, during deployments, we have a lot of freedoms and customs to skirt.

The mental illness comes from seeing death in a war.

I realize most Russians don't know this, but the US military is 100% volunteer. Meaning, one signs a contract stating we understand the risks involved.

Of course not- but the doctors (free doctors for them) tried their best.

Which means the military and medicine did everything they could. Are you saying the military should have magic healing powers?

    lol
