My thoughts are that I had no clue Biden was so bloody awful. I'm stunned, actually.

All he did was emote, express his racism (black people are so very helpless), and plead with the viewer to run with their emotions. Zero substance. He actually made Trump look normal, and I would have thought that was impossible.

I thought Biden ate Dirty Donalds lunch. The one mistake Biden made was he did not ask what Mike Pence had done during Trumps presidency, since he apparently expected Biden to run the show during Obamas presidency???

so so... She interrupted Trump all the time, never Biden.... and not because Trump spoke too much or out of turn. He did not speak more than Biden.... Relatively speaking she was better than her predecessors though.

Yep.... I am Joe Biden he screamed and if elected I promise to do what I've been promising to do for the last 47 years and never delivered.

And I will spend trillions on school, tens of trillions on socialized healthcare, $100 trillion on green new deal, and I will lockdown the country and completely shut off the revenue while I spend all this money on social programs the left loves so much...

Trump kept the focus as much as possible on Biden which was the only smart thing that he did. He put forth no plans of his own. He offered nothing new.
He believes he scored big on fraking but that is a minor issue and Biden should have jumped on that. What he should have said was "Do you believe that we'll still be driving combustible cars and trucks in a 100 years? Do you believe that our power stations will still be burning coal? If not then we need to move away from the old technologies and develop the new that will replace them. Should we lead or follow?"
Overall Trump's best performance but still not good enough to gain any new votes.

I'll tell you why, because Trump often doesn't answer the question and thinks he's at a campaign event and goes off and saying all the wonderful things he did, historic, better than any president since lincoln, , and she had to reign him back in to answer the question.

I thought Trump was more direct and on point yet properly got his accusations in, while Biden was often off point and sounded befuddled though didn't seem dementia ridden. I thought the moderator was very surprisingly good and mostly fair and even handed.

I think Trump probably beat expectations which is granted a low bar with him. Policy wise it was a train wreck because both sides are train wrecks. Trump said a lot of things that are not consistent with reality and Biden said he would do a lot of things that are not congruent with other things he has said.

Yep; and recall that the greatest criticism of Trump from the Right in regards to the first debate was that Trump refused to let Biden talk. We knew that if Biden was allowed to ramble -- even with Chris Wallace 'helping' him -- that Biden would repeatedly shoot himself in the foot with the viewers. But Trump kept running his mouth. This time, however, Biden had plenty of time to BE Biden, and the results were not good for the Dem Party.

Trump was impressive and gave honest answers not talking points. If he acted like that all the time, he would be ahead by double digits. I know many don't like his style, but scripted answers = lies and half truths.

Biden is just a typical politician giving scripted answers to made up talking points. I don't give a &^%$ what you think I feel or talk about at my kitchen table Joe. You have made millions in "public service" don't act like you give a crap about me now that you need my vote.

When Trump said he ran because of the failures of the previous admin., that was brilliant. Trump was elected because many Americans are tired of the promise everything and do nothing politics as usual.
