Hours After Brian Kemp Declined to Overturn Georgia's Election Results, Trump Slammed GOP Governor

Democrats only control the House and over 400 bills they have passed whither away in the republican controlled Senate. I think the question shouldn't be what have democrats done in the last 2 years, but why won't the senate work with the house to pass bills.

 

Once again, can anybody tell me a few things the Democrats have done positive for the taxpayers of this country.
They’ve tried to pass 400 bills tells me nothing.
What was in those bills? Any proof they tried to pass something positive for us taxpayers, or are they trying to secure votes by giving more free stuff, and rights to illegals?
I’m asking because I can’t get a straight answer. I really want to say that I feel good about our incoming President and I can say that I’ll give her a hell of slot more respect than most people gave Trump, but nothing I’ve seen or read tells me things are going to be good for the taxpayers or the country.

I was looking for a legitimate response, as I have lots of times looked up stuff and been sneered at. Clearly for whatever reason nobody wants to say anything.
Ya know they have us so divided (I mean both sides as I hate politics and politicians) that we’ll likely never be a United country again. Obviously I like Trumps policies but that’s it.

Thanks for admitting what we all know. This is not about alleged "fraud" - just revenge. Explains why the legal efforts so far have gone no where and he has resorted to trying to bully legislatures/governors. All while bilking his followers for 100s of millions

 

Trump started his re-election campaign the day he was elected.
I am starting to fear now he's not gonna stop with that. He just might use the next 4 years as his next re-election campaign.

I don't think it matters one bit to his base he's no longer President.
Trump never talked about anything constructive in these rallies anyway. Just rigged election crap.

Trump probably won't succeed in stealing the election, but he is trying his hardest:
-Called election officials in Michigan to try to stop certifying the results.
-Filed 10s of frivolous law suites with zero evidence.
-Held a meeting with the PA GOP legislature, which resulted in them writing a resolution to throw out votes to give the election to Trump.
-Pressured GA legislature and governor to give the GA electoral votes to Trump.
-Lobbied state electors to vote for Trump instead of Biden.

And that's just a short list that comes to mind. The Trump voters who are now defending this kind of c$ap would have been outraged if Hillary had done only one of those. Now, they are not only silent, but they support Trump's open attempts to overthrow the will of the. It's anti-American and anti-democratic. It is also anti-AmericanNationalist.

 

I think that the PA GOP legislature did that more because of their anger towards Wolf than to support Trump. They were not happy with the election process all along and then Wolf vetoed a covid related bill that they wanted last week. They are not sending an alternate set of electors. They did something that will be more symbolic by forcing the congress to spend 2 hours debating the electoral college objection, but the democratic controlled House will reject it

 

If Trump refuses to leave office when it's time, then I'll agree that he's trying to overthrow the government. Until then it just sounds like more of "the sky is falling" fron the usual suspects. The good news is when Harris takes over, they'll take a break from it. The bad news is when Harris takes over, the republicans will pick up the mantra.

Neither only an idiot or someone who hasn't been paying attention would think Biden is mentally fit to be president. The man's mental health has sadly been in decline so that means Harris is the de facto president.

 

FYI the only POTUS that resigned was Nixon, Johnson was impeached but not convicted.

 

You already know the answer to that but I'll remind you. Trump and millions of others don't think the elections were fair and free. It is an opinion, not an activity. Opinions aren't crimes. Imagine what kind of country we would have if they were.

 

I don't think he was ever intended to be president. He was intended to be a place holder that excluded Trump. I think you will find that Mrs Harris and DNC will do the work of the president.

Trump has singularly achieved what no president in history has achieved, the Trifecta of negatives:

1. One term president
2. Impeached or resigned
3. Lost the popular vote

Therefore, he will not be awarded a 'pretty good' president status.
He will be awarded the worst president in history status, for many reasons beyond the above but the salient reason are his unprecedented efforts to undermine public confidence in the one thing that makes America great, and that is Democracy. No, Trump hasn't made America Great, quite the opposite; he has diminished America's standing in the world, and emboldened dictator's arguments regarding the frailties inherent in democracy. Fortunately, the courts reject his arguments and the voters have rejected his presidency for a second term.

 

What do those three things have to do with his performance?

 

He's having a temper tantrum, and you're reacting to it. Proving me right about these four years. For all of your proclaimed beliefs in the system, in democracy, in "who we are", never once has the resistance actually stood its ground in that belief. Instead of believing in the system and sustaining it, as you were agitated by the decisions or tweets or whatever that Trump has done, you reacted back.

Which in turn created a storm, that has led us to the present day. Should Trump have stopped his provocative actions? Perhaps, but what does that say to those who reacted to it? His temper tantrum is not in of itself anti-democratic, it's anti-classy but it's not anti-democratic.

He's not the first person in the world to have ever contested election results, or to claim they were rigged. To act as though he were, again proves my point. It's the same point as "Biden is the savior"(no, he's not.). And a return to a world pre-2016, will only lead us to the situations that got us right back there:

Slowing unemployment
political malaise by the establishment class
And a blatant disregard for their constituents, both here at home and other countries in the "international community"

Liberals believe naively that A: The liberal solutions are the only right, true solutions and that B: Any opposition to those solutions comes from racist, xenophobic people(see FMR. President Obama's recent remarks.). To disregard 74 million voters, is the reason there were 74 million voters to begin with.

You might believe in the false security that "Well, we had 80 million". You only have 80 million, so much as Biden's political strength is seen as the unifier that can "save" the country. When people realize that stuff's still going to hit the fan, that coalition will falter and fracture.

I have long said that Trump should accept the election results, he'd have been in a stronger political position had he done so in a timely manner. Just like the resistance proved me right about itself, Trump proved the resistance right about the makeup of his character. Both groups are to use a Hillary word: Deplorable.

American governance will not come from the "democracy" as it exists, nor from Trump. That's why a systematic overhaul is necessary. It's why the American Empire will eventually be born, to unify the country in its truest sense and to rid ourselves of the political division and in fighting.
