Saying stuff is like this is why those that say it are called deplorables.

"Keep more of their hard earned money". Such a tired old GOP meme. It implies that people somehow get a better deal from the government when the GOP is in command. Here is the reality: The GOP tax cuts just allow people to pay less for the services that they use. That's not because services have become cheaper, but because the GOP decided to put the balance on the national credit card, i.e. our children or grandchildren will pay the bill. Very convenient in terms of vote buying.

The first federal income tax, like most of the money the federal government steals out of the pockets of citizens, was supposed to be temporary.

The government can't pay for spending with anything other than taxes, so what you mean is that they try to pay for our tax dollars they already spent with even more of our tax dollars.

Most of the money from this bill is targeted for people on the bottom. The Trump tax cuts overwhelmingly went to people and corps that didn't need it. That's the difference.

How many Americans see anyone that can get elected as president as unfit to be president?

At least one for sure ;)

You do realize it was Trump that lowered the SALT cap to a maximum of $10K which made the liberals head explode. That was a sharp tax increase for the wealthy and the democrats are doing everything in their power to repeal it.

Liberals are literally sending $1400 stimulus checks to murders and you have the tenacity mention grand children footing the bill. Reduce the size of government if we want to save money and let people keep more of their cash they work hard for rather than growing government and siphoning more dollars for earmark and pork spending.

You give the DNC too much credit. Democratic primary voters chose Biden because he was the least progressive of the crop of candidates. While the DNC let this obvious fact fly completely over their heads, or have simply chosen to ignore it while they push for more and more progressive nonsense, it is not lost on those of us paying attention.

As for GOP voters picking a candidate without the heavy hand of party elites, that's what led to Trump. I think perhaps the GOP NEEDS those heavy handed party elites to steer them away from charlatans and asshats like Trump. They obviously won't do it on their own.

At the end of the day, the voters in the primaries for both parties chose the candidates. Hillary in 2016 and Biden in 2020, and Trump in 2016.

Democrat leaders will kill your grandparents for more money and parent. Not sure why some folks think they care about them, their parents, their children or grandchildren when they'll exterminate the oldest and weakest among us.

Overall, during Cuomo’s second term his campaign and his state party committee raked in more than $2.3 million from hospital donors."

Except that they did. Because if they had voted for a different candidate in the primaries, Joe Biden wouldn't have been the candidate. It's that simple. I know it's fun to characterize the DNC as a shadow cartel type organization, and maybe they even try to be, but at the end of the day, the people who voted at the primaries chose the candidates.

If you are just going to post stuff based on your feeling, then just don't post. Who are you to decide who "needs it" or not? A lot of this money goes to people who have a job and therefore "don't need it". A lot of this money goes to union pension plans that shouldn't have been impacted and therefore "don't need it". Money is going to schools who haven't spent the other money that they were given "don't need it."

That's a bit unfair since it's not the voters who choses who runs. It's the parties themselves.

I never chose Biden to be one of the seven candidates in the primaries. I didn't choose any of the seven candidates. No one that I know of chose any of them. There are some we would have if given that chance...but we were not.

Each of the seven managed to convince the Democratic Party to let them run and *they* chose them to run. The American Voter did not.

Same with the Republican. Even those voters who were avid Trump supporters were not given the choice to select him for the primaries either in 2020 or the 2016 races.

As I've said many times, you have the 1% on the extreme right and the 1% on the extreme left who are governing the remaining 98% of us who are typically somewhere in the middle.

Behold - Michelle Obama's idea of a "profoundly decent man":

Of course, that's what one would expect from a woman whose husband pals around with Louis Farrakhan.

Watching the Cult of Fiasco elevate that pedo to Christ status is hilarious.....and creepy.....:puke:

    Good post.

To this it is unlikely that you will receive a response. If you do, it will be something to the effect of "B...b..but that's not what it means NOW!".

During the 1960's the prison population declined. Poverty declined because of broadly based economic growth and War on Poverty programs. Since 1980 the prison population has tripled; the the crime rate has declined by one third.

The way to fight crime is not to fight poverty; it is fight criminals.

Your analysis ignores all the primary votes by Democratic and Republican voters for the candidates. It's true, primary voters don't choose who runs. But how would that work if they did? Can they draft someone to run for president? What if that person doesn't want to?

But once the crop was established, it is very much the primary voters who choose from among them. I'm sure that the DNC and GOP respectively always have a candidate that the insiders want, but it's still the primary voters who choose.

That's how we get people like Romney, Dole, and McCain. Given the opportunity, the GOP insiders will pick the worst candidates.

If you listen closely you can almost hear Hamilton laughing at them. If the General Welfare Clause is what "progressives" ignorantly or dishonestly claim it is the Founders would have never wasted their time writing the Constitution. The entire exercise would have been completely pointless.

If we stopped the moronic "war on drugs," we might be able to focus on the real criminals. Locking up people for smoking dope? How stupid is that?
