    Enticed and lured how?
And if the fed gov't was responsible, should we not all demand the fed gov't undo it?

Black communities didn't have money prior to the 60s.
Redlining basically left them penniless with decaying communities and no money for repair or education.

You're right about the good, wrong about the bad.

The bad of it was that the rampant racism went "underground" and continued to affect blacks. The change in laws did not cause all of that awful racism to disappear overnight, in a decade or even over a span of 60+ years. We are now reckoning with that residual, festering racism in our society.

Also, the economic impacts of the Jim Crow era are closely tied to this and still being felt, and the economic aftermath is another issue we're currently dealing with.

Recently she told two colleagues to deactivate their body cameras after they killed someone in 2019.

And that will make her legal defense very difficult.

Is This Post About Kim Potter, Ex-Cop Who Shot Daunte Wright, True?
    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/kim-potter-daunte-wright/

    Claim
Kim Potter, the former Brooklyn Center Police Department (BCPD) officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright, served 26 years with the agency, led a union representing its officers, and once told two colleagues to deactivate their body cameras after they killed someone in 2019.

Very interesting! I still expect it was an accident, but it seems she has had some issues with being open and honest in her work.

In Minnesota, second-degree manslaughter applies when authorities allege a person causes someone's death by "culpable negligence whereby the person creates an unreasonable risk, and consciously takes chances of causing death or great bodily harm to another."

Someone convicted of this charge would face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $20,000. CNN has sought comment from Potter's attorney, Earl Gray.

I wonder where her head was at when she went to work on Sunday?

Do you think she thought that would be dealing with a Manslaughter Charge 3 Days later?

    It WAS an accident.

Unintentional manslaughter is when you unintentionally cause someone's death. If you kill someone with your firearm, you'll probably be charged with manslaughter even if you had no intent to kill.

Yes, but that was in response to your post about the Snopes fact check. Settle down.

I am simply saying that accidental killing can still land you in prison. And yes, her comments in the past will make her defense much more difficult.

    Very true.

    EXCEPT:

Minnesota has a really murky murder statute that (like some other states) does not include "Negligent Homicide".

Intent isn't a necessary component of second-degree manslaughter in Minnesota. The charge - which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison - can be applied in circumstances where a person is suspected of causing a death by "culpable negligence" that creates an unreasonable risk or consciously takes chances to cause the death of a person.

I would just like to point out with all this boohooing about how bad blacks have it... that last year there were over 500,000 violent felony interracial crimes between blacks and whites.

95% of those the offender was black. Let me say that again out of 500,000 interracial violent felonies between black and whites, blacks were the offender in 95% of them.

I don't doubt that what you say could very well be true, but so that you aren't immediately blasted by BLM/ANTIFA defenders who post here, I suggest you provide a link or two from credible sources concerning this information. Otherwise, put on some 'asbestos underwear', because they'll surely be out to get you with their 'flamethrowers'....

Fair enough. Here was my source. And it was 90% not 95%. Regardless my point still holds true.

Just this month, the Bureau of Justice Statistics released its 2018 survey of criminal victimization. According to the study, there were 593,598 interracial violent victimizations (excluding homicide) between blacks and whites last year, including white-on-black and black-on-white attacks. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies, or 90 percent, and whites committed 56,394 of them, or less than 10 percent.

ETA: the one for 2019 is even higher but I can’t seem to find it atm.

She made a mistake as is CLEARLY shown and yes she is going to suffer an not just at hands of the justice system but within herself. I find your treating it as if she purposely killed someone and not even a drop of empathy pretty............well I just won't say.

    Correct.
We hear a lot today yet, where's the systemic racism. Well the laws changed 50 yrs ago, but people's mindsets don't change.

I say it takes 3 generations at least to change a mindset in society.

    Can you explain why?
How does Melanin make or not make criminals?
By your facts, more melanin = more crime. Less melanin = less crime. Wonder what melanin does to a person to make them more criminal.

Would someone become more prone to crime as they get more tanning from the sun. It puts more melanin into one's body.

Why would you assume she lacks empathy for the man she killed and his family? Has she said or done anything to give you that impression?

Are you insinuating there’s ANY excuse for that level of grossly disproportionate violent crime?

    I am not insinuating anything.

You come off as an expert. So I am interested in how much Melanin in one's body is proportional to crimes committed.
