Adam sinned, not Eve. Why did Yahweh punish an innocent Eve?

Perhaps it is not "knowledge" that is sin...
maybe it is the "knowledge of good and evil" that begat sin.
Once the idea of dualism was introduced to the human mind...
all manner of judgement, jealousy, covetousness, etc,. ensued.

Hmm. Well, at this point, I think any harm is a detriment. We're just not competing for resources the way we used to. Our intelligence and ingenuity has allowed us to move past that. Depends on which choice. There are those who argue that it would be intelligent to take advantage of people if you can get away with it, I could still imagine wanting to make such a choice illegal. Again, it being the intelligent choice seems to be a completely different issue.

Since when is this about what I would do? I argue that your blanket reference to Mens Rea is not good enough to declare something as not legal. What I would do instead seems to me like a red herring.
