Dems are gonna vote Dem, Repubs are gonna vote Repub.....ah, but those inscrutable Independents........a faction that's grown and TRUE numbers and motivations aren't fully known.

 

Agreed - each party has their loyal following. Which needed to be pointed out in this thread and others that challenge Dems with Biden's popularity or record. Our vote doesn't hinge upon him.

 

Obviously, if Biden (and the Dems) don't stem the tide before next November, they are going to be in big trouble at the polls in the '22 Midterms.

And, as far as Obama's comments:
Assuming Obama (ever) actually said those things.
And, since no video (or audiotape) exists of those remarks, they are hearsay.

That said, had Obama (actually) said those things, he is always free to change his mind.

If Biden decides to run again does he keep her on the ticket?

My ex told me how they groaned in CA when Harris was chosen and we’ve talked about it a lot. One option was for Biden to pick someone based on check boxes to please his base and once everyone else figured out how bad she tips it will be too late. Another option is that he didn’t choose her, the DNC or his handlers did. The thing is she’s not doing what she was hired to do and that’s to help Biden with minorities and block for him, and now she can’t block for him because her handlers discovered she’s worse in front of a camera than he is. She’s a liability, not an asset.

 

Many of the jobs during the Trump years were due to democrats shutting down businesses because of the China virus. Many of the jobs the left is giving Brandon credit for are people who went back to work or are now being hired for Christmas season. Can’t give Biden any credit for that.

 

IF, Biden Runs Again, I would consider it a certainty that Harris will stay on the ticket.
Dumping her could only backfire with Women and Blacks (especially, among the key demographic of Black Women).

Harris will run as VP, IF Biden is Renominated. Period.

BUT, speaking of Harris, here is the more salient question:

IF, Biden steps aside for another nominee in 2024...

...Obviously, Harris's "Negatives" would make a disatrous chlice as the 2024 Nominee...

What you obviously fail to grasp here is the simple fact that Obama's warning "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to **** things up" is about BIDEN and his infinite incompetence, not Obama, and it's a warning that the voters who say Biden is worse than expected should have heeded.

Now that I'm through belaboring the obvious, the American people understand Biden is responsible for his failed policies and the harm they are causing and his approval ratings have sunk accordingly. Now, many of them are learning what many of us already knew - Quid Pro Quo Pedo Joe is a senile incompetent buffoon, surrounded by other incompetent buffoons, and is utterly unfit for office.

 

I'd love to see Chris Murphy give it a run.... he'd have my vote, hands down, although so would any D, so I guess that's not saying much.

And I still think Amy Klobuchar would make a very interesting choice (she was my choice in 2020). We're gonna have a female POTUS someday, and she's got as good a background as anybody for the job.

Whether he runs again or not, Joe did the job required of him in 2020... If he only goes down in history as being the stopgap POTUS against fascism, that's not nothing...

The policies aren't "worse than expected", they are what the country needs, just not what YOU want. This happens all the time. Abortion rights, gay rights, health care, civil rights etc are past policies that were fought hard against and the fight was lost but later people realized...."that's not really bad, actually".
