Please don't project your behavior on me. You pestered me to explain something someone else said, while I was offering my views to the discussion. No one knows what your views are because you never express any.

I didn't pester you, you quote replied me in this thread. Although I admit I'm shocked that you think no one knows my views because I never express any...whut?

I express my views all the time!

I don't know what your view is. Instead of explaining your view it, you kept asking me how wealth gap causes violence, even though that was an argument made by someone else. Asking silly questions does not explain your view. You say you disagree with the notion that poverty plays a part in it, and you say that better education system won't help either.

So, explain why US is to violent, and how do you solve it. Prayer? Telling people to get a job? Telling them to be more responsible?

I'm sure that's something you can research yourself.

I always do my research prior to making claims. Please qualify your statement on him being mentally challenged.

Yes it was an argument made by someone else, and my response to that person you replied to and started talking about education and what not. Naturally this was confusing since how does that contribute to the wealth gap? So I never got a straight answer. Our entire conversation was NOT about why the US is so violent but your "opportunity gap. I never cared about your point, didn't think it contributed to the wealth gap, and you never provided evidence that it did.

College educated people earn 80% more than those without one, so of course it affects the wealth gap. But then again, I already told you so.

Its ok, don't bother explaining your view. I am past caring about it by now.

    Its like pulling duck's teeth.....

Twitter = the funnel of truth. :D The assault in question involved a 15 yr old boy and a girl. Andy Gno is a known propagandist, so who knows what that video is all about.

I have, severl times. The Japanese are racist in the sense that they don't like people who are not Japanese. However, they don't act on it. A gaijin would never encounter it. So they aren't racist in the sense we use it in the U.S.

~ America is unique - a frontier nation founded on freedom , personal responsibility and opportunity unlike any other country. With that freedom comes certain risks .

I agree, the nation is full of druggies, both legal and illegal. It has fried people's brain to think right. We have also babied our children so much they haven't learned to take rejection and when it happens they can't handle it. Just think back, do you remember any school shootings like we are hearing today? I grew up in the 40's and 50's. Back then we could buy a rifle at Sears and carry it to school in the back window of our pickup trucks. I don't remember any school shootings back then. Seems the first one I do remember came around the mid 60's down in Texas, when a guy got on top of a tower at a university I believe it was and started shoot anyone he could. I believe that was the time our soldiers came back from Vietnam with all those drugs. Today people aren't shocked at one or two school shootings a year. Our video games and movies has also glorified killings. They have to show the skin being torn apart and blood gushing out.. Not like it was back in the 40's when movies of Al Capone just shot you and you fell down. We make killing exciting today. I have no doubt the reason we have so many killings today is because of the three things I have mentioned.

So Drugs - babying Children - violent video games and movies.

Seems sketchy off the hop .. but completely fails given all other first world nations have the same afflictions.

I believe it’s the culture that’s the problem. We do not attack the street culture like we should.

Nope .. not that either -- and not even sure what "Street Culture" is --- other than however one define's it -- going to have same issues in other first world nations.

Yeah poor explanation I suppose. I believe many people in America idolize the street life over the school life. They want people to fear them. As if that’s a good trait. Our kids are growing up with ideas that being hard gets them places. That’s what I think

How does any of this relate to the US being the most criminally violent and most incarcerated society among the first world - in any significant way.

I do not profess to know all the factors that have led us down the dark path either .. but the above doesn't cut it. One thing I will say .. in reference to the other poster claiming "Drugs" .. is that incarceration and violence increased due to the "War on Drugs" .. another point is that the violence related to prohibition was elimitated by eliminating prohibition.

"Our kids are growing up with ideas" ---- indeed they are ... When the Gov't has no respect for essential liberty of others .. why would we be surprised when the children growing up in such a society lack such respect ..

    It's not.

I assume from this post that you did not go beyond the first page or do any other research. So, let me help you with that. Click on the words "Crime Level". That is the only statistically driven section of the whole propaganda sheet. When you click on and then scan down, you come to a list of nations ranked by their crime levels. Look at number nine on that list. Puerto Rico. Now to be considered a "First World" nation you have to have a Human Development Index (HDI) of .80 or higher. When you look at that index, you might notice that Puerto Rico is not listed. Does that mean that they have an index lower than Niger's .377? No, it means that it is rolled into the United States' HDI index because it is a Territory of the US. But Puerto Rico does not enforce US laws. They have their own laws and their own police force. Therefore, they are the highest First World country. Not the United States.

Now, if you look two more columns to the right, you will see the years that they these crime levels were reported. They are all 2014 and 2013. Seven and eight years ago. Couldn't you find something more recent? Well, let me help you out with that also. Here is the Most Violent Countries 2021 (worldpopulationreview.com). Now, on this list, number 10 is Russia with a HDI of .824. That makes it the most criminally violent First World Country.
