Who wanted Weiss? "Y'all" wanted a special counsel BECAUSE of Weiss. Special Counsels are appointed when there is a conflict of interest between the Justice Department prosecutor prosecuting the crime. The conflict of interest still exist. The prosecutor with the conflict of interest is supposed to be replaced with someone outside of government to eliminate the conflict. Calling Weiss a special counsel cements the conflict.

Noticed how these things that "could be easily & innocently explained", have not been? And with the abundance of previously hidden evidence, and the passing of the Statute of limitations for any criminal prosecution, Biden is not entitled to a view of innocent until proven guilty.

There is no, certified "evidence." People make a lot of claims, but they are not credible. The supposed bank statements, I've seen here, did not look like a standard transaction ledger; at the very least, Rep. Comer had put together two different sources of information. At worst, at least one of those two sources was Comer's, or someone else's, pure conjecture (or lies). I heard another member here, talking about cell phone records when, to the best of my knowledge, the House Committee doesn't even have those. If it did, however, I certainly wouldn't believe they could tell you what each party was doing at the time of each call and, even more importantly, what transpired on those calls.

It is not expected that anyone-- least of all, the President-- should need to try to "explain" someone else's bogus allegations, strung together with a fulsome helping of the accuser's imagination.

A number of Repubs sent a letter to Garland requesting Weiss. That's a fact.
    Provide proof.
You'd imprison a man for whom you have zero evidence, but vote for a man for whom there is tons of evidence.

Doesn't say a lot about you.

You are the one who accuses without evidence.

    Shame on you.

If you can prove your accusations, provide the proof.

No one has, to date. I doubt you can.

Actually, Hunter is a cofounder in at least two companies with income and expenses. Most other "companies" are LLCs with no assets, income, or expenses. With those, what is there to question?

And the Fifth Amendment also only applies if you are being questioned by police, whether you are a suspect or not, or in a trial where you don't have to testify. Some defendants do, but most don't.

Pretty clear you only care about joe, but the more important question is: why don’t you care about the millions of taxpayers being hurt by this poor soul that can’t form a complete sentence half the time?

This is the guy you elected and trust with the nuclear codes.

Here’s your guy reading from a teleprompter, which has been argued extensively that he does not NEED a teleprompter:

    “repeat the line”

Can you imagine how bad this man will be in 4 years?

There are so many more I could post but most people here have already experienced this poor soul’s incoherent speeches.

My point, Patricio Da Silva, if you TRULY cared about joe as you say you do, you wouldn’t be posting on a political thread. You would be letting his greedy self centered family know that this man should not be placed on display for the entire world to laugh at.
I have no doubt you will find some way to justify this poor souls incompetent actions, but if you truly cared about him as you say, you wouldn’t.

What services were provided for one. How much money did the company make from these services? The name(s) of the person who paid the money? He is being investigated for not applying as a FARA agent. So if Hunter does take the stand he cannot plead the 5th if the questions pertain to his company. Hunter has at least 20 LLC's, why? Comer has identified witnesses Weiss can use in Hunter's trial. Hunter may want to testify to dipute what the witnesses are accusing him of.

I do know that with one, according to their website, it was about $15 million in gross revenue. That company was originally called Seneca Global Advisors. The other firm that he started, called Rosemont Seneca Partners, has estimates of gross revenue from $5 to $25 million and has not made its financial accounts public. And they don't need to under SOX legislation.

He can plead the fifth when he is called to testify before Congress, on the witness stand if he so chooses to, and even in interrogation with FBI or other Law enforcement officers. He also has an attorney with him, and he can stop that interview anytime he or she wants as well. The fifth Amendment does not apply in grand jury testimony or administrative issues such as an IRS Audit.

Your comment is predicated on Joe's stutter, and you are confusing it with intelligence. PBS did a biography on Joe (it's a biography on both joe and donald, but the parts on joe....), how his stutter was much worse in his younger years, and how he struggled to overcome it, and overcome it he did.

I am empathetic in this regard because I had a stutter, and, like Joe, had to overcome it. When I turned 21, I deemed that one way for force me to overcome it was to get a job as a bartender. My father's friend owned a bar, and he was aware of my plight, and agreed to allow me to work as a bartender in the sheer hopes of helping my father help me overcome it. Forcing myself to work with the public forced me to overcome it. But it's never total, in high pressure situations it's rears it's ugly head. That is what is happening with Joe when you hear him trip over language. I mean, for sitting in the international spotlight burning down on one's bum, he manages far better than I ever could in that circumstance. But, 99% of the time, Joe manages just fine. But, if there were a million videos of you the result of 30 years in public office, I could cherry pick moments where you look like an idiot, too. WE have similar videos of Trump, who has no stutter, but is acting like a moron. You want to see some?

And you are confusing that with 'dementia' or 'intelligence' or some such stupidity because you haven't done your homework.

You are being a total [ expletive deleted ] for doing that.

Your characterization of Joe is far from the truth.

He's not a giant among presidents, but he is on par with many presidents.

First, the inflation was due to two 'quantitative easing' events; one during CARES (Trump) and the other during ARP (Biden). These were necessary to prevent the pandemic from crashing the economy. Well, QE is fiat currency, and if done in large enough quantities, inflation is inevitable. Both Trump and Biden implemented $2 trillion QE's each, and the inflation is bipartisan. It is also world wide, as other nations implemented similar policies to prevent their economies from crashing. Inflation was the price we pay as a society, to prevent the pandemic from causing a major depression.

Note that as the pandemic subsides, inflation is subsiding with it, and that is due to Jerome Powell, fed chairman, following the same policies as was done during Paul Volcker's chairmanship during the Reagan years following the high inflation of the late 70s. they are painful, but necessary. Biden was wise for keeping Powell (appointed by Trump) on the job as was Reagan wise for keeping Volcker (who was appointed by Carter) One thing that conservative fed chairmans are good at, and that is controlling inflation when it starts to gallop.

Naturally, Repubs are going to exploit inflation to score political points. They are doing a good job of it, as they have succeeded in destroying Biden's popularity. If they knew the truth, he would be much more popular than he is now. But no republican is going to allow that to happen. They would rather they vote for the most criminal, despicable, fraudulent human in history for president. Donald Trump. Their only goal is power for power's sake, and they are gaslighting the nation accusing dems of doing the very thing they have done in spades.

His infrastructure bill is doing great good across America. It's on par., if not surpassing in importance, than Eisenhower's national highway project.

And my, how many Senators who voted against it are touting it to their constituents, out of sheer hypocrisy.

Trump paid lip service to doing an infrastructure bill, and how many weeks did we hear it was 'infrastructure week' during his reign? But, alas, he never got it done, even when he had both houses.

But Biden got it done, in BIPARTISAN fashion, within the first 300 days of his presidency.

Is Joe perfect? no, he's made some blunders but most presidents blunder, it's inevitable. There is no job training or preparation for being president other than being president. One is bound to screw up. Trump did during his first weeks as president, the raid in Yemen resulted in a death of a US Navy Seal and was criticized for it's poor planning. During Bush two, there were 13 raids on US Embassies and some 60 deaths, but all we ever heard about was 'Benghazi', and after four years, 8 investigations, they coudln't fiond anything they could pin on Hillary. Did they make any hay out of Bush's raids on Embassies? How about bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, which occurred on October 23, 1983, during President Ronald Reagan's administration. I could make a long list of Republican screw ups but you never hear Republicans raising a stink about it, it seems that only Democrat screw ups they care about. The only time I can recall Republicans having integrity is when Goldwater asked Nixon to resign. I'm 72, and where most on this forum have to read about history, I remember it.

Joe was instrumental when he was VP in getting the ACA through congress and the senate, two places with which he has had years of experience, and that experience is far more invaluable for a US President than running a mom and pop real estate empire. Is it perfect? It had flaws but Republicans tried every trick they could, and succeeded in some ways, to sabotage it. Why did they do this? The real reason is that didn't want Obama to succeed, because if he did, more people would vote for Democrats and not Republicans. That's what you call putting party above country. They didn't want to work with Dems to fix its flaws. In this way, they could make sound bite videos on it's flaws, with the objective of getting more people to vote for Republicans. In fact, they voted against anything and everything that had Obama's name on it, whether or not they liked it or not.

Republicans did manage to get some 100 or so amendments to the ACA which is why it took over a year to get passed. one would think that such an effort of amendments meant that they would pass it with the amendments, but that wasn't their goal at all. They did it just to delay it's passage, and when time to vote came, they all shot it down. All of this amendments were a disingenuous effort. They NEVER had any intention of passing it. Obama got the ACA passed during a small 70 day window in which Obama had both houses, and I was able to get health care for the first time in my life (well, I had it once, a long time ago, via an employer, who 1099'd me and made me an independent contractor, my health care became far too expensive). and it happened at a time when I needed an operation and the ACA allowed me to get it.

During the pandemic, I struggled to get through it. Trump's CARES act didn't allow me to qualify for a PPP forgivable loan, But Joe's ARP did, and it helped me through the pandemic.

In fact, Joe has done more for me personally, than any US President during my life time and I'm 72.

So, I vehemently disagree with your characterizations, which do not rise about being a cartoon, which are ignorant of context and reality.

So? Most Repubs are Uniparty hacks.

    Laptop from hell
Joe Biden's "...son of a bitch..." commentary.

There is nothing in that laptop that proves Joe Biden 1. Partnered with Hunter. 2. Received payments from Hunter's business deals arising out of a partnership.

Not one financial document has Joe Biden as beneficiary or signatory.

Not one LLC lists Joe Biden as an officer in a Shell.

Not one LLC has been proven to be established for a corrupt purpose as none of the 10 or so legitimate reasons have been excluded.

Not one taped phone call implicates joe in any wrong doing.

Not one testimony against Joe is backed by hard evidence.

No testimony given by Joe's staff against him.

No testimony by Joe's sons and daughters are made against him

Every email and text presented do not have Joe Biden as a participant in the conversation and third party mentions of Joe is hearsay and some have been established as fake.

The chain of custody of the laptop is not clear cut, and has the potential for corruption.

IN short, the House Republicans and those in the Senate have failed to produce sufficient predication for a criminal investigation.

In fact, all of the evidence thus far produced, only proves that Hunter Biden did business abroad, that that business is not against the law, plus the fact that he generously shared his profits with other family members, but notably except his father. There might be a FARA violation but that is not proof of wrongdoing beyond that fact.

SARs are not proof of wrongdoing, says so right on the Gov website.

FBI FD-1023 reports are not evidence, they need to be corroborated, and none have been, to date.

That Yelena Baturina was not sanctioned is not a damning fact at all, as alleged, given that some 50 Russian/Ukrainian billionaires haven't been sanctioned, either, and she is merely one of many.

What I've been finding is that for every issue put forth by Republicans, regarding the Bidens, there is an innocent explanation. Oh, some things might look bad, but looking bad is not illegal.

All of the 'evidence' thus far is suggestive, circumstantial in nature, and not conclusive.

What you need to do is produce conclusive evidence, which would be required in order for a prosecutor wanting to indict a US President.

Really? So you can explain why YOUR TRUSTED NEWS SOURCE has this to say, and don’t give me any crap about former President tRump, he was voted out of office two and a half years ago.

President tRump is ancient history and will never be elected again.

Here ya go, from your own “TRUSTED NEWS SOURCE”:

    https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/28/politics/fact-check-biden-economic-speech-january-2023/index.html

Biden did not mention that the
primary reason the deficit fell so substantially was that it had skyrocketed to a record high under Trump in 2020 because of bipartisan emergency pandemic relief spending, then fell as expected as the spending expired as planned.

Independent analysts say Biden’s own actions, including his laws and executive orders, have had the overall effect of adding to current and projected future deficits, not reducing those deficits.

Facts First: Biden’s claim that wages are up and growing faster than inflation is true if you start the calculation seven months ago; “real” wages, which take inflation into account, started rising in mid-2022 as inflation slowed. (Biden is right that inflation has declined, on an annual basis, every month for the last six months.) However, real wages are lower today than they were both a full year ago and at the beginning of Biden’s presidency in January 2021. That’s because inflation was so high in 2021 and the beginning of 2022.

    House Republicans and taxes
Biden said that “MAGA Republicans” in the House “want to impose a 30 percent national sales tax on everything from food, clothing, school supplies, housing, cars – a whole deal.” He said they want to do that because “they want to eliminate the income tax system.”

Facts First: This is a fair description of the Republicans’ “FairTax” bill. The bill would eliminate federal income taxes, plus the payroll tax, capital gains tax and estate tax, and replace it with a national sales tax. The bill describes a rate of 23% on the “gross payments” on a product or service, but when the tax rate is described in the way consumers are used to sales taxes being described, it’s actually right around 30%, as a pro-FairTax website acknowledges.

These are a few lines from this particular article in case you’re not interested in reading the entire article.

As for the man that was elected by the most votes in HISTORY:

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/29/politics/biden-stutter-encouragement-video/index.html

Hmm. Where’s this stutter you speak of?
This was from a very controlled situation from 2021, I can’t wait until this poor man’s handlers march him out to debate whoever runs against him in the next election.

Something I saved specifically for you just because I DO NOT NAME CALL LIKE AN IMMATURE CHILD, unlike some on this forum Patricio Da Silva, I have seen first hand my Mom and my Grandma suffer from dementia. It’s not a speech impediment.

Trump is the front runner, and know one knows whether he can win, but he is very popular, so your contention is not a slam dunk. We thought the same about him in 2015, when he first started out, remember
Your article doesn't appear to have anything to do with the issue of stutter.
Most Presidential elections have more votes, historically speaking, than prior elections, so your point is meaningless.
As I explained about Joe, and myself, apparently you didn't read my post, both of us have, over the years, managed to overcome the stutter, most of the time, but under pressure, it can be triggered. I see nothing from you the refutes that premise.

I used to be a care giver in a home of the elderly, which had a number of dementia patients, so don't lecture me please.

Your link appears to confirm my point.

In fact, you've said nothing to refute my premise, myi experience, knowledge, on the subject of stutter and speech impediments, how they are often confused with diminished mental capacity, let us not forget history when the romans thought Claudius was a dimwit. Clearly, he wasn't.

When I was in Europe, one of the first questions anyone would ask is about Joe's dementia. It is that obvious. All you have to do is watch a video of his speach from 10-15 years ago then fast forward to today. It is night and day where he has gone from a literate intelligent politician to an alzheimers patient. Sometimes, I do witness him speaking clearly thus he hasn't completely lost his mind, but it is too often he looks completely lost. That looks so bad that I doubt he could get elected in any country outside of the USA. The Dems needed a puppet and got one.

Very predictable response Patricio Da Silva, but however, your response is the most confusing response I’ve ever gotten on this forum.

You CLEARLY hate tRump, so why would you even bother to waste your time with a response like: “Well, you never know, let’s just wait and see?”

tRump is being charged with THE MOST SERIOUS CRIMES ever committed by a United States president.

Why the hell would you think he would even have a chance of EVER EVEN running for president again?

AND once again, as I have stated so many times on THIS PARTICULAR FORUM, president tRump WILL NEVER HAVE A SECOND TERM.

He was voted out by you and those with beliefs like yours.

You sir, still believe in TRADITIONAL politics, I really hate to be “that guy” but you and those who still believed in traditional politics during the 2020 presidential election, have to deal with the fact that traditional politics are gone forever.

It’s all about what social media or traditional news pops up on your preferred device: tv, phone, iPad, or what have you.

Big Tech now owns you and your descendants, thanks to you, Patricio Da Silva.

Congratulations Patricio Da Silva, you win!!

Well, he's running now in the hopes of staying out or prison.
yes, Trump has destroyed 'the norm', and it is by virtue of that fact it is entirely possible he could win.

Even though we can sit here and say it's not logical that he would win, it is wiser to approach a political campaign, it is wiser for Biden to approach his own campaign that it is possible that Trump would win.

NEVER be smug about the future. No one really knows, not you, not me, not anyone, no matter how sure you think you are about what is going to happen.

    You can't prove a negative.

You are making the positive claim, the onus is on You to prove your claim that Joe Biden received payments and is corrupt.

I only say that because folks like you have failed to prove your claim.

I'm still waiting for you guys to prove it.

Point to any website or document (preferably a PDF file) that you think proves it, and I will subject it to a careful analysis.

Because any proof is the opinion of conservative pundits from a copy of a laptop harddrive that is not to be trused. The only thing to be trusted is the actual hard drive itself, and the FBI has not released any information. Not even the texts prove this because you had the "Big Guy" and now you have "Robert L Peters from pci.gov. And allegations, even from FD 1023s is not proof.
