So.... a kids future is damaged because he used a legal term when asking for clarification of a word for a vocabulary assignment.

 

Everyone likes to sue people nowadays for no good reason.... Well here is actually a good reason. Sue the hell out of the school board

 

I think the kid's future was already damaged by his parents.

 

Perhaps he was suspended for being stupid - which illegal aliens have green cards? Yep, probably damaged by his parents

 

Why am I not surprised that instead of addressing what actually happened there are posters that instead just attack the boy and his parents. Yep...definitely showing off that "moral high ground" that leftists supposedly have over everyone else.

While I think the suspension is wrong, it’s just as wrong to claim this kids future is “damaged” just because of a 3 day suspension. Get a grip.

If the story is true (and I doubt it) that's stupid as hell. Also, no, not having a green card doesn't make you an illegal alien.

Yes, what happened to him? Threatening someone with violence seems more troublesome than asking a question, even if offfensive.

Now, we don’t know a back story on this. Perhaps these two students had an antagonistic relationship . Maybe the offended student is Hispanic and didn’t like the use of the term. The suspended student may have asked the question in a snarky, condescending way, which triggered the offended student. Doesn’t make the threat ok. On its face, I think this suspension is BS , but we need to wait and get the full story.

Had the kid said 'alien without a green card' you WOULD of had a relevant point.

I LITERALLY said that someone isn't illegal just because they don't have a green card. You took issue with that. Now that you found out you are wrong, you want to change the story.

Of course. The two kids probably have a long history of conflict and warnings, and the guy knew exactly how to push the Latino kids buttons with the "illegal alien" comments, which he did again and was suspended.
