Should these persons be in jail and paying tens of thousands in fines and have criminal records?

Can you explain in detail what crime this lady committed? The capitol belongs to US, the taxpayers. Not to Pelosi or Liz Cheney. What the hell is she supposed to be remorseful about?

I don't see where she violated the law and if she did it was entrapment.

    30 days probation.[/QUOTE]

I understand . You want to give her and all the other insurrectionists a pass because you are a Trump supporter and nothing he or any of his supporters do can be wrong .

Why didn’t you just say so at the start of this thread instead of trying to hide it behind the facade of an actual discussion and debate ?

That’s just disingenuous and fraudulent .
    Just like the Orange Insurrectionist.

Ah, so according to rightists, all government buildings, including the WH belong to US and we should have the right to break all windows and doors in order to gain entry when we so please.

Interesting strategy Cotton, let's see how that works out for ya.

Except, she didn't break any windows or doors. Just walked through a door that was open. This is on video. Let's use an example: when the antifa rioters burned the federal building in Portland...say you lived near there and you came outside to see what all the fuss was about. Should you be arrested and jailed...just because you happened to be in the vicinity?

So penalizing people for things they did not do or have not been charged with is wrong.

So you'd be ok with me inviting BLM folks to your residence or place of business so they can peacefully walk around in your property?

Were you not here at the time to read about it when we discussed it? Six police officers were injured and an immigrant who owned his own limousine operating his own business, had his limousine set on fire and windows were smashed at Bank of America and McDonald's because of course those are evil corporations..... But what's a little arson in the street and a few injured police officers?

Police said in a statement that the group damaged vehicles, destroyed property and set small fires while armed with crowbars and hammers. Peter Newsham, the interim police chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, said the group caused “significant damage” along a number of blocks.Jan 21, 2017

Let's say I break in to rich houses when the owners are not there. I then use the proceeds to build housing and provide training for the homeless to get jobs.
My motivations were pure, no one was really hurt but many benefited.
Should I be arrested, jailed or fined?

My residence is private property. The capitol is Public Property. Do you know the difference? Essentially the Capitol belongs to all of us, including this lady. She wasn't "trespassing."
