Oh really? (To both the above,) My dad died when I was little and I was brought up by a single mother. Looks like that £20,000 a year my mum spends on my education is going to be wasted. Like just how much science and maths does an axe-murderer need?

I've stoked fires before; I've had a toke or two before, and I've assisted an older woman when she had a stroke, but can't say I've ever had a stoke. Stokey Carmichael? :)

I was raised by a single mother as well. Statistical likelihoods aren't guarantees - just like not everyone who smokes dies young or gets cancer.

That's quite true, but it's also important to remember that "correlation doesn't imply causation" when viewing statistics.

    Take this statistic for example:

"Children in single parent families are more likely to be in trouble with the law than their peers who grow up with two parents."

Does this mean that the family situation was the cause of the lawless behavior? Of course not. If you were to look at income statistics for single-parent households, I'd bet you'll find that there are a disproportionate number of single-parent households in the lower-income brackets. In other words, children from single-parent homes are more likely to be low-income than children from two-parent households, and this likely has some impact on the statistic for lawlessness. I'm sure there are a great many other factors at work as well, but it's not a good idea to just look at one set of statistics and attempt to draw meaningful conclusions.

Have you ever read Malcom Gladwell's book "Outliers"?

One chapter discusses the different parenting styles between poor and middle class households. That difference is a big factor in what causes children to be successful and unsuccessful in our society.

In the end, middle and upper-class households tend to be a lot more hands-on in the raising and development of their children. Lower-class households tend to be a lot more hands-off in their child's development. This hands off approach is far more likely to lead to criminal behavior, which is part of why you see such trends.

The liberal goal is to have boys raised by women to be little ladies.

Women don't like young men because they can't close the deal.

Leonidas was a pederast. Most Spartans were pederasts. Just saying.

I don't know about you but I certainy had male and female authority figures when growing up. I had just as many male teachers as female, my dad was definetly still around.. I played dodgeball hundreds of times when I was a kid (My college still has it for intramurals every so often actually) and I went to state in wrestling. I have a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing beard, I'm not "effeminate". What makes you think what you've written is true? Are you just that stupid? (yes)

For the same reason that a woman can't be a butler a steward or a salesman.

There is a specific word for a female hero: heroine.

The english speaking world has accepted all of these terms as being universal. IE a woman or a man can be a hero, salesman, etc..

Most surveys tell us the same thing. There are more conservatives than liberals in America. (there are more independents than either of the above groups)

Young men today are shorter, fatter, and less testosterone charged than your average guy in a nursing home. No wonder women become lesbians.

LOL! I am 18, of average height for my age, weigh 50 kilos (about 110lbs) and the state of my bedsheets are often an embarrassment. My mates are pretty much the same (although most weight more than me). How about you?

Beautiful young women all across the country line up outside nursing homes to be serviced by elderly men. Sad but true.

These can't find any satisfaction with the snot nosed effeminate young men who strut around today like a bunch of bum steers. Young men today are like geldings. As a result young women have turned to old stallions.

This is all too funny, really. Just ask women. They will tell you. They want a real man. Not a metro male, not a "delicate" man.

Jesus, I can't count the times I've had this conversation with women, and their eyes literally sparkle with mischievous agreement.

Anyone who says different is just flat out lying. Real men, who are all about just being men, are overpowerlingly attractive to females.
