These folks are delusional if they think anyone is going to do anything for them, especially the Obama Administration, that supports these protests.

The Obama Administration likes to act the the underdog and portray CEOs, millionaires, and billionaires as evil, yet Obama is so intertwined in the finances and deal-making on Wall Street, his hands are tied.

He will not bite the hands that feed him.

The reality is that OWS crowd is astroturf made up of SEIU, ACORN & other paid protestors:

And this right here is the reason why the country is in the terrible state it is currently in!! Mindless sheep who believe that Democrats are evil, and Republicans want to do the right thing, but the evil Democrats won't let them!! The same is similarly true of the other side, who believe the evil Republicans ruin everything, and that Democrats would make things all better, if it were not for those meany Republicans!! The reality is that is all idiotic gibberish. Both parties are 2 sides of the same coin, and the coherence of the right is nonexistant these days. They post threads about how Obama is in bed with Goldman Sachs, and then in the very next breath want to tell me he is a communist/socialist who is trying to bring down capitalism and works in opposition to big corporations!! The first thing is actually true, and understanding that, the second is nonsensical and false. When people wake up the reality that the paradigm they are sold is a false one, the country can be improved. However if silly people keep believing the nonsense story sold in the media, there is no hope for this country.

This is exactly correct. Why are people so opposed to fighting for actual values rather than taking the easy route and picking one side without realizing that they both work for the same agenda?

That is a flat out lie. I went to the protest, there were no people being paid. They were students and people who had political grievances. You can legitimately say they are unorganized, you can legitimately say they aren't coherent, you cannot say they aren't real protestors. That is a lie told by manipulators on fox news and in the right wing media, to convince everyone these people are illegitimate. You may disagree with their goals, but their grievances are real, and their anger is real.

It is starting to look like Occupy Wall Street is getting some traction. The Oligarchs are worried.

OWS reminds me a lot of the anti-establishment protests of the '60s. Neither group really knows what they are protesting, neither has any plan for fixes, neither has any coherent demands, they just seem to want to protest.

They're society's losers and are being used by the far left for political purposes. Useful idiots.

    It ain't capitalism.
why don't you ask to remove the regulations that created this vicious corporatism, instead of asking for more of the same, hoping this time it will work ?

for the most part that does not seem to be the message of OWS, that seems to be the tea party message.

OWS are starting to put together a policy list, but don't be fooled by the alleged "policy demands" peddled by Fox and Co.

The first and most obvious demand is to re-regulate the banks and put some teeth into the SEC.

    I agree with you completely.

But many on the "Right" cannot (or will not) actually believe that their corporate-promoted, expensive AstroTurf (Tea Party) movement, has been overshadowed by this REAL (We The People) movement. If nothing else, they won't admit (out loud) that their Right Wing Agenda is being roundly challenged by the BIG YELL the "Occupy Together" movement represents.

I've been chuckling about that lately, even as I ponder the political actions which WILL stem from this ongoing/growing movement.

Most I would agree are clueless as to the causes and solutions.
But you can use their energy to work for you.
They can draw attention to a problem.
You can use your brain and your careful articulation to educate people who have gained a raised level of concern thanks to the buzz the OWS people are generating.

Just because most of them can't articulate a meaningful thought, doesn't mean you can't. I encourage their disruption. It can serve my agenda, even if they are too stupid to realize it.

The SEC may have teeth, but they don't bite because there is a revolving door of appointments to the SEC from the securities industry itself. They won't prosecute their buddies because they want that next job like this rotten tart:

Government regulation is supposed to be perfect? Of course not. However the Glass Steagall act served perfectly well for over Fifty years until it was sadly repealed.

One of the enduring problems of humanity is that over time, people forget why regulations were enacted in the first place and dismantle the safety systems........and then have to relearn.......

You Wall street types ARE greedy. The large percentage of you are also corporate criminals. You're also all going straight to Hell. Enjoy your reign while it lasts.
