I must disagree with JFK worship. I don't buy into the hype of the first generation of gorilla media propaganda tactics.
IMO JFK was a conserviative who duped simple America into conservative ideology:
1) Started wars with vietnam, and Siani,
2) Created the fear of communism to compete for weapons sales to Aisa, and South America.
3) Almost did a nuclear attack on Cuba,
4) Closed the doors for trade negociations with emerging nations (Mexico, and Aisa).
5) Tried to assasinate heads of State in South America, for the oil industry.
6) In Egypt, and Lebanon he Mubarik and Kadafi in power.
7) Allowed corporations to infiltrate the governemtal system, and changed campain rules to allow special funding and donations.
Created a larger government and ran up a deficit spending.
9) did not change education, and did nothing for Civil rights.


I base my opinion of this president by what he did, and not what he or his broadcast media says. Same goes for the media hype of Regan. History books and hollywood can say all they want, but they are doing the USA a disservice by not showing the true colors of JFK. Some worship him like they worship jeasus. Both are just myth and the stories of their lives are altered many times as the truth goes hidden to please the image makers.

 

You want a beloved and non-respected president. Check out Slick Bill Clinton. He was the real deal.

1) Highly intelligen,
2) Was not easily maipulated by corporations and media,
3) Stood trial and got off for making nasty with Monica,
4) pulled the USA out of debt by raising taxes, and alloing investors to make massive profits world wide.
5) opened up trade with China, Korea, Mexico, and India,
6) created the path for the first surplus for the USA (like Germany and France),
7) was welcomed all over the world, even in the Middle East,
was offered a job as president of forigen countries,
9) Created the lowest unemployment rate in US history,
10) established protected US lands for conservation and native Americans.
11) Had the US economy booming in 4 years,
12) was able to de-throw a Servba Dictaor who commited genocide in a 30 day war with less than 10 US Deaths.
13) Was able to pull out US troops from Somolia without opposition from the right wing.
14) he did not make boggie man enemies nor did he use the media to promote division in the USA or the world, and he did not create any idolocial enemy for Americans to fear and cower over. As a result, home prices were low, and pay was good. And the ivestment market was also doing well.
15) And the world dumped money in the USA like it was gold in Jew York. Investors from the middle east, South America, Canada, China, Japan, India, Korea, Austrailia, all had massive money going into USA stock and bonds.
16) the USD was almost equal to the currencies of Germany, Canada, Austrailia, France, etc. Unlike today where the USD is half of what it was.


Again, I base my opinion on the man's behavior and where the USA ranked economically and socially during the 90s. As we all know, the decline of the USA started just after he left office.

Now we are broke, nobody likes us, and our USD is worth squat, and no country will invest any money in the high risk failure of the once great capitalist nation called the USA. After all, the USA is now tapped out on growth and capitalist opportunities. That is why the corporations have started capitalizing on the governments of the USA. And that is why the decline will continue untill there is no more government to tap.
