Yet another idiot who thinks there are only two types of people with two completely divided binary sets of characteristics and opinions. Unless they don't really believe it and are just another professional liar. Either way, why should we give any credit to their opinions (or what they claim them to be)?

    Circular nature of argumentative communication.

    A. The rich are wiser as shown by their success.

    B. This rich person says that you are wrong.

    A. What does money have to do with wisdom?

    B. If a wealthy person is wiser than a poorer well educated person, then this person must be wiser than you!

    A. What a ridiculous argument!

Tell me how my reply was hateful? Chances are I will be able to ridicule your response.

The left wingers unknowingly show their true colors on this. They simply define disagreement as hate. Their default position to disagreement is hate, so they just think everyone is as hateful as them. They justify their hate. Their hate is good. Their hate benefits the rest of the world..... Or so they think.

I find that mind-set ridiculous. In other words, worth ridicule.

I knew you couldn't support your accusation. That's why I asked you to support it.

That is true that cost of living is higher on average, although, like in America, it depends on the city.

The cost of living in NYC is comparable to that of Sydney, for example.

    http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-livin...United+States&city1=Sydney&city2=New+York,+NY

Yet, in NYC, the minimum wage is $8.00. Clearly, it should be around that of Australia's national minimum wage in order to be on even terms with Sydney.

And thus you have finally hit the crux of the argument..............minimum wage needs to be set LOCALLY.............not nationally

Because they were dumb enough to elect the worst president ever and that decision affects all of us.

I've never argued against that, although the national minimum wage serves as a baseline. It basically ensures that the poorest regions keep pace with inflation.

You sound surprised that progressive leftists do not know how the world works and view its operation as children? I thought it obvious. Its high time we started seeing them for the clueless Obama voting buffoons they really are.

And they do..............you don't hear small town USA clamoring for minimum wage hikes..................Its only big cities that are brought into the argument.

minimum wage hikes would hurt small towns on a much larger scale that say New York.............they would never notice it there.

We simply know they are stupid and acknowledge that stupidity in ways that help those who can not see it for themselves also acknowledge their obvious stupidity.

To an extent... Some states are definitely more proactive about setting local minimum wages when needed than others. My state is one that really needs to move forward with local rises. The cost of living has moved much faster in Charlotte and Raleigh than the national minimum wage has.

The rises in the minimum wage nationally are advocated loudest by the larger cities, but there are plenty of less populated areas that still push for them. Granted, I can agree that it would be more productive for them to push at local levels than at the federal level.
